Questions & Answers

Is this knife capable of easily chopping up a lime?

Yes, the knife's micro serrations are capable of chopping a lime in half.

Is it possible for you to get a new tether?

Yes, a replacement tether will be sent to you. To obtain a replacement tether, contact the seller from whom you purchased it and request that UCO send it to you.

Is it okay to bring this on a plane according to the TSA? I can't check my bag because I don't have the option. ?

Since I bought it, I haven't had the chance to take it on a plane. In the past, I've carried my Spork (fork/spoon) in my carry-on bag. If you're on a flight with a meal, you'll be given a plastic knife; to be safe, contact the company that makes it and check TSA's rules.

Is there a carrying case for this?

No, the knife/spoon is stored in the fork. It snaps into place after nesting.

Nearly flawless – I've been using this "spork" for a while and generally like it because it's made of nylon, so it doesn't scratch, and it allows me to use it almost like regular cutlery
4/5

br>br>I'd give it five stars if it weren't for the fact that the spoon, which I use the most, is uncomfortable. Unlike most spork knives, this one can cut through most materials. However, this means that when you use the spoon, the serrated edge of the knife digs into your hand. The knife is also pointy, making it uncomfortable to hold the spoon and fork with which it mates. br>br>The other issue is that nylon is easily stained by foods, which isn't a big deal for me. So, if you're bothered by this, I'd suggest going with a dark color. br>br>Aside from that, I really like this item because it's compact, made of scratch-resistant nylon, and it can be extended. If you're listening, Uco, I'd suggest getting rid of the steak knife; if I need a knife, I carry one (actually two, a folder and a Swiss Army knife for the tools), so I, and I believe most people, don't need a knife built into the "spork. " This would not only make the fork/spoon much more pleasant to use, but it might also help you pass through airport security. If you do decide to include a knife, I recommend going with a butter style knife, which has rounded ends that make the fork and spoon easier to handle. I'd also recommend that the knife has far fewer aggressive serrations, so it can be used to push food onto a fork or spread butter, for example. br>br>Note: I tried filing off most of the knife's serrations, which helped a lot with it not digging into my hand but did not help with the shape. Again, I believe the spork would be far more comfortable to use if the knife end was rounded rather than pointed.

Why hadn't this occurred to me before? When fully extended, it is significantly longer than the competition, making it more useful in the kitchen

br>br>Don't cut the cord that connects it to the backing of the product. This is a stretchy bit of material with a toggle on it that you can use to attach this tool to your pack, bag, or whatever.

Is there such a thing as the ideal spork? Because a regular knife and fork would rip a hole in the inside of my lunch bag, I keep it in there
5/5

Rather than a double-sided spork, I prefer this design because it can be used as a fork or pops apart to reveal a knife. The only minor drawback is that it feels strange in comparison to regular silverware, but what can you do? The knife is actually sharper than I expected it to be. For a great product, a great price, and a very clever design, I give it five stars. It was only $5 or so. I paid 00 for it a few months ago, and it's now worth more than $7. It's a pity that the price is 00.

There are no drawbacks to this product because it meets all of your needs
5/5

Nige cuts meats well, nests securely, reaches the bottoms of bagged meals well when fitted end to end, spoon shape holds food well without being uncomfortable in the mouth, comes with its own elastic strap for easy attachment to mess kits, and easily fits inside the uco plate set Only a silicone tip on the spoon for spatula work would improve this. You will not be disappointed if you purchase this.

This purchase has made me very happy
5/5

They're something I use on a daily basis when I'm on the move. Deployed and fed up with buying and discarding utensils on a daily basis. These stow away in my kit and I always have them on hand for meals. They also don't break when cutting through tough foods. If you want to save money and get a better set of eating tools, this is a must-have.

It's a solid piece of equipment that's also very simple to operate
5/5

There's no need to worry about the knife getting in the way. I have no problems with the knife 'hitting my hands' while I'm using it because it's solid and compact. I suppose some people just have different utensil holding habits. br>br>I like how they connect with a click, and the elastic cord adds to its versatility. You can use the spoon and fork separately or as a stir stick if you combine them. br>br>While the knife is functional, most campers already have a good knife in their gear. br>br>Pair this with a P38 can opener and some flint for a complete meal in the woods.

I'm on the fence about it
4/5

This, like most other plastic camping utensils, isn't sure how long it'll last, but it looks cool. Connecting the two pieces to form a long spoon is proving difficult. It never seems to want to connect, despite the fact that it is a good size and weight.

The best of both worlds
5/5

I was looking for a long titanium spoon and couldn't find one. This was discovered. Tried it. Love it. I get a fork, spoon, and knife that all connect to make it longer than a long titanium spoon so I can reach into those bags. It's not necessary for me to link them. Because it's a spork and a spoon, I can share with my partner if needed. It is simple to clean. Together in a snap. Is it plastic? Yes, which could be a problem if used as a camp cook tool, but I don't cook. My stove is used to boil water.
