Fortunately, I got a good deal on them, and they should suffice as a backup set. OUTXE actually contacted me about the defect and offered a replacement set, stating that it would arrive the day before Christmas. It actually arrived two days before Christmas, giving me plenty of time to wrap it. They didn't have to contact me or offer a replacement, but they did, and the replacement is excellent and was given to me as a gift. You should have seen the smile! This is a great company that stands behind their products.
There are a couple of things about them that I really like. br>The weight was the first thing that struck me; when I opened them, they were so light that I almost thought they had forgotten to send one. It's a good length. I used dehydrated food and cooked it in a large pot (enough for 8 people), and the spoons made stirring the food a breeze. They also didn't transfer heat well, allowing us to leave them in a hot pot and still grab them without getting burned. Another feature I liked was the bag; while it didn't dry quickly, it did eliminate the need to dry the utensils, making things a little easier. br>br>However, I will say one thing that I adore and believe is crucial: Because they're made of titanium, they can be anodized. I used a kitchen torch to turn them into blue camouflage/Starry Night! I enjoy customizing things, and the ability to do so myself is even better. br>When you consider the price and everything they have to offer, this is probably the best deal you'll find on the internet for camping utensils.
This product performed as expected. It was accompanied by food. The food was kept in a large bag. The food made its way to my mouth from the bottom of the bag. The mission has been completed. It's a breeze. It's quite lengthy. Food comes from deep bags and is delivered to your mouth. I'm not sure if it does this better than other products that do the same thing.
I really like these for the price; you can't beat titanium for weight, and they're long enough to reach the bottom of mountainhouse packets, etc. I just wish they came in a set of two sporks, or one spoon and one traditional style fork. br>br>As it stands, I feel compelled to carry both to perform the functions of a spoon and a fork, and the fork function is spork-like. It's almost like it when it comes to how well it works. You're probably aware of what I'm talking about. br>br>Overall, these are well worth the money, but I believe there are a few tweaks or options that could improve them even more.
"Why?" I wondered when I first heard about these. "I like them a lot now that I've received them. " They're a little longer than standard camping utinsels, which keeps your hands away from the heat of a campfire, and they're long enough to stir food while cooking, so you won't have to bring two sets. They're lightweight and portable, making them ideal for camping. It's a nice touch that the carrying case is padded. Because it's large enough, it can also be used to store other items.
These camping spoons are fantastic. Made of real Titanium, the same metal as the Blackbird SR-V, this watch is extremely light. a spy plane with the designation 71 What a fantastic idea! Real Titanium does not stick to magnets, and neither do these spoons. These spoons are very compact but long, and you'll definitely need them if you're eating backpacking food like Mountain House because they reach the deepest parts of the bag. A popular camping item, it's great to have if you enjoy camping or just want to own a spoon made of an unusual metal.
For Mountain House and other freeze-dried meals, the spork and spoon are ideal. It's simple to eat straight from the bag, with only a spoon or spork to clean. Previously, I had been using a Light- My hand would almost always get food on it while scooping a bite out of the Mountain House meal bag, so I had to use a fire spork/spoon (weight about 10 grams). These long titanium spoon and spork reach to the bottom with ease and keep my hand clean for an additional 3 grams of weight. These can also be used to eat from a pot or a Jetboil cooking system.
This was purchased as part of my ultralight backpacking cook gear. They're long enough to fit into freeze-dried meal bags (such as Mountain House) and MREs. br>br> Because I dislike sporks, I gave it one star. They're terrible at being a spoon, and they're terrible at being a fork. If you could only carry one thing, I suppose the spork would be it. However, because these are so thin and light, and because they nest together, we're talking about grams. Why not just make the other a fork since this kit already includes a spoon? Anyway, I couldn't find a set like that, and this one was so cheap that I just bought it and turned the spork into a fork with some files. It turned out fantastically, with a factory-like appearance.
