We live in a family that is concerned about the environment. For our family's Disney vacation, I purchased these collapsible cups. We filled a stainless steel water bottle every morning before we left the hotel and then assigned a cup color to each family member because I knew we didn't want to spend a lot of money buying water bottles every day, which would result in a lot of unnecessary plastic waste. We saved a lot of money by filling up our water bottle at restaurants throughout the day. We didn't have to lug around four different water bottles all day because of the cups. We'll use these again and again when we go hiking or have other outdoor plans.
It would have been a 5 if it had not been for the fact that it was raining One of the cups had a 0 star product in it. Others had less serious variations on the theme, such as 1 mm metal flake embedded in the inner surface: A few specks and a smidgeon of fiber Otherwise, it's a great product, and I'd recommend that buyers inspect their cups by shining a bright light through them.
The use of cups is fantastic. We now take them with us wherever we go, and we're proud to be environmentally conscious. However, despite the fact that the product is advertised as being environmentally friendly, each cup was wrapped in a small plastic bag before being placed in a larger plastic bag. I wish the seller would reconsider the product's packaging and make it truly environmentally friendly.
But I used it for something other than what it was designed for: I used it as a travel bowl/cup for my small 10 pound poodle. Instead of the collapsible bowls advertised in pet stores, I chose these cups because the smaller cups seemed more practical for my small puppy - That was the case. Not only is the opening a better fit for my dog's mouth and my purse, but I can also use the cup's folds as a measuring tool. When collapsed to the smallest but widest option, for example, the space measures exactly 1/3 of a cup, which is the amount of food my dog consumes per meal. The included clip allows me to take it with me on walks or to the park, and the included cover makes it simple to save any leftover kibble or water. (Please note, however, that the lid does not fit snugly. ) I've found that I can hold some water in the cup without it leaking, but any liquids would most likely leak if I shook it vigorously!.
JC is not my initials. The initials can also be seen on the blue cup. The purple cup had no initials, but the brown cup had hard water stains visible. Yes, the cups work as they should, and I'm fine with using them after washing them in the dishwasher, but they were delivered used, which is disgusting and not what I paid for. I don't mind buying used items as long as I know they're used.
I wish the lid was of higher quality and could last longer. Pros:
1. It's light weight and folds down to about 1/2 inch thick. br>2. When at least 1/2 full of liquid, it's relatively difficult to knock down, despite the small base. br>3. Silicone does not absorb odors or flavors. br>4. It's likely to hold about 6 people. br>br>Cons: br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br>br
1. The plastic lid is of poor quality, and every one of ours has cracked after only a few months of use. so they don't stay on that wellbr>br>Summarybr>We use these cups in the car to divide up Goldfish crackers, Oreos, and M&Ms during long car trips. Ms, Ms, Ms, Ms, Ms, Ms, Ms, Ms, Ms, When they're finished, collapse the cups and put them away! If there are any snacks left over in the cup, we simply collapse it a little and cover it with the lid, and we don't have to worry about them spilling. br>br>The cups are easy to clean, and the silicone doesn't absorb flavors or odors, so when you fill the cup with water later, it won't taste like whatever was in there before. I was a little concerned about the cup's narrow base when I first received it, but knocking it down actually takes some effort. With a gentle nudge, the cup will hold its ground and not spill all over the place. br>br>Despite months of use, being left in a hot car during the summer, and being washed frequently, the color is bright and hasn't faded.
These were purchased so that I could share drinks while riding the ski lift. I was pleased with them after trying them on in the lift with a can of Bloody Mary. It works well, and I like that the lid can be closed to prevent anything from falling into your pocket. It's easy to store because it folds flat. The cords don't seem to provide much of a benefit to me, but perhaps I'm not using them properly. Cleaning is a breeze. Squishy to hold, but that's a characteristic of silicone, so don't give them to anyone who can't handle a shaky cup. The lip isn't the most comfortable to drink from, but you're buying these to store them, not to use as daily cups.
The product is well-made and appears to be of high quality. The only complaint I have is that it's a little too soft, so be careful not to push too hard when putting the lid on, or the cup will fold. Overall, it's a very good cup that's very convenient to bring with you almost anywhere, despite the fact that it can't be microwaved due to the metal rim. I gave my friend two of the four cups included in the set. It's something she enjoys as well.
