Lightweight is a good thing. It appears to be of good quality and long lasting. The food is scraped out easier with the silicone edge. Everything is fine in terms of ergonomics, right? You might believe that. The issue is that the flavor is carried over from one dish to the next. If I'm having a Thai meal, I'm not going to have red-colored pudding for dessert. Curry- Are you familiar with pistachio pudding? It ruins meals, to be honest. I noticed it picked up "taste" from the first bite I tried of something (not like I cooked with it or left it simmering in some stew). It's now a jumbled mess. spices in a mash-up: (At home, I tried a variety of scrubbing and cleaning methods - Using extremely hot water, various soaps, baking soda, soaking it, and so on. I can't go that far when camping, but even if I could, it wouldn't be practical. For a recent trip, I quickly purchased a titanium spoon - That worked, but my son took the second of the two I purchased. When he got dessert after the main course, he looked down at the spoon with a funny expression on his face. With his, he had the same problem. br>br>I'm not a food snob, and I'm not one of those people who gets nervous if their food comes into contact with other people's food. I'm the same way as Mikey - Whatever you give me, I'll eat. So, if this irritates me, I'm surprised I didn't notice it in previous reviews. Have any of the reviewers actually put it to use? Is it possible that I've been completely blind to such remarks? Perhaps the materials themselves have changed? It's a hard plastic stem and base with silicone edges around the spoon part, but mine appears to be well fused together, so perhaps their manufacturer tried to save money and the silicone on mine is inferior and picks up more taste than other people's versions? br>br>I'm not sure why, but this thing makes eating unpleasant, so I'm going to send them back. You are purchasing at your own risk.
Meals ready to eat (MREs) are available at Walmart and other camping supply stores, and all you have to do is boil water and pour it into the bag. These long-handled spoons are great for getting into the bottom part of the bag once the meals are ready to eat. A regular spoon will work, but your hand will eventually end up in the bag. That's a bit of a mess.
I'm making the switch to a plastic-free household, and this spoon will be a huge help in getting rid of single-use plastic spoons! It's well worth the small price tag. It's a pleasure to eat from it because it's very soft and easy on the mouth compared to plastic or metal spoons; it's squishy all over!.
This is something I recently bought and used on a six-night canoe trip. The only reason for the four stars is that it does retain some food flavor when left in the food for long periods of time. I believe I read something similar in other reviews as well. I let it cool in a Mountain House bag overnight and was able to taste the flavor the next morning. However, if you washed it thoroughly in hot water with soap, the flavor might be removed. The advantage is that it is far more enjoyable to eat with than a metal spoon, and it will not scratch a pot or frying pan. This is a product that I would recommend.
This spoon comes in handy when trying to get salsa, spaghetti sauce, and other similar items out of tall and unusually-shaped containers. jars in various shapes It's also easy to clean and has a long lifespan (about 4 months as of this writing). The softer edges on the spoon's outer surface aid in extracting every last drop from containers and jars. After all these years of difficulties, it's wonderful to finally have a brilliant invention like this excellent spoon. / This is an outstanding product.
This spoon is one of my favorites for preparing and eating frozen foods. backpacking meals that have been dried Scraping the inside of the foil food pouch is a breeze with the soft edges. The spoon's bowl is big enough to shovel a good mouthful of food in. In comparison to the titanium spork I previously used, the thick plastic and soft edges feel a little strange. A polished stainless steel bowl would be preferable to either this or titanium in my opinion. But that's not a problem.
Instead, opt for this. light as a feather This is by far the best spoon I've ever used. It's what I take with me when I go backpacking. It's the lightest spoon I've ever used, and I adore the long handle and the fact that it can double as a measuring spoon because it holds exactly a tablespoon. I've never seen a mess kit with a long handle spoon, and eating from the bag doesn't necessitate one. Because of its unique bpA-content, it's best for dipping into a meal bag to eat (freeze dried and oat meal bags), as well as scraping surfaces. bendable edges with no restrictions Rather than buying metal ones, you should buy this. The price is excellent, but it may be a little too low. like $5.
I use it at home to be able to rasp until the last part in my 1 liter (34 oz) mug. Because it's made of silicone, it doesn't ray my mug and allows me to easily extract all of the fond. We had everything we needed at home! br>br>Su longevidad does not appear to be an issue; I love that his mango is a solid piece, as this prevents humedad and food from accumulating. The only flaw I can see in her is that, as two pieces, you can exert pressure on the head while supporting the mango, which, due to the effect of palanca, may lead to you ripping it apart with the passage of time. Only take care when washing her and avoid putting her under unnecessary stress.
