I microwaved it for 55 seconds by accident. Nothing blew up, and there was no evidence that anything was transferred to the food. But, just in case, I won't do it again, as they are metal. I believe I was fortunate because it was only for a short period of time.
The cups, unlike the plates and bowls, cannot be stacked. at all.
Not sure. Metal in some form. If the enamel is chipped, it will rust.
I'm not sure where they're made, but after using them for two years at scouting events and camps, I can say that they've performed admirably, with only one chip on one plate. The cost was well worth it.

We bought two sets, and the red enamel on the mugs, bowls, and plates is peeling away. After 2- Hand-washed after three uses. The flatware is perfect, and it's nice (or not) to see red paint floating around in your cup. Be wary of the buyer! This is not something I would recommend! The flatware, on the other hand, is in excellent condition.
Pros: It's a bulletproof set. The enamel on ours hasn't flaked off like other reviewers'. They still look as good three years later as they did when we first got them. The cutlery set will come in handy a lot. If we're staying in a hotel for a few days, we actually bring the cutlery wallet with us. Because the knives are slightly serrated, they appear to be sharper than they are: Consider the profile of a butter knife, but with a cutting edge. Cleaning them should be done with caution. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product. I wish they had included a small cloth or polyester bag in which to keep them. We have a milk crate that works well for us. Dishcloths are also thrown in to help keep things from slamming together. Because the coffee mugs aren't insulated, your coffee will become cold in three minutes. They are used to store juice and water. Hot drinks should be served in an insulated mug.
Well, I took a chance and ordered them anyway because they appear to be popular. I was overjoyed to receive my package today and inspect the plates, mugs, and bowls thoroughly. There were no flaws or damage, contrary to what some of the other reviews claimed. I am very pleased with my purchase and am looking forward to taking it camping with me on my next trip. The dishes themselves were a little tougher/sturdier than I had expected, which indicates that they are of high quality. The silverware is exactly what I was expecting from camping silverware, and it appears to be of good quality. I would advise anyone considering purchasing these dishes to take a chance and do so. I'll update my review after a few uses to let you know how well they worked. ) Have a great time camping!.
I bought a set of these because my parents had a set that lasted forever. Initially, I was enamored with this collection - Camping was a breeze with everything. Almost immediately, the ceramic flakes off in some places. & As you can see in my photo, the so-called stainless steel utensils rust. These used to be one of our favorites. The knives are excellent for slicing steaks and other meats. The spoons are large, making them ideal for hearty camping soups, and the pouch is well-made. sturdy. However, a rivet came loose from one of the forks after the first wash - ok - It was still usable, but not particularly "rugged" if things began to fall apart after washing. Then, this year, I unrolled the set in preparation for our first camping trip of the season. Every single piece has rust on it, despite the fact that all of my other utensils are kept in the same closed box. Everything works fine, including whisks, knives, and cooking spoons, and I'll keep the pouch after a thorough cleaning. To replace the damaged utensils, go out and buy some genuine stainless steel items. It's too bad, because it's a really cute set.
So, for a trip to Hawaii last year, I bought these. I'd like to draw your attention to two points. First, they're quite heavy, which should come as no surprise given what they're made of, but if you're planning on taking them on a trip, they'll undoubtedly add weight to your luggage. Second, and this is something I wasn't expecting, they tend to chip easily, and once they do, the paint or surface begin to chip and peel to the point where I had to discard that item from the set. This did not happen to the entire set, but it was enough that I couldn't use them for long periods of time. So, in general, I'd advise you to save your money and look for a more long-lasting set.
We have a set of Coleman enamel dinnerware from nearly ten years ago that we bought off of the company's own product. We now have three more children, all of whom are old enough to go on a full-fledged camping trip at the same time, and we needed more dishes. My wife bought these because they were on sale for $20, and she reasoned that they couldn't be as bad as some of the reviews suggested. They are, unfortunately, quite bad. There are clear bubbles and flaws that are easily visible. Because the metal isn't completely covered, the dishes will most likely need to be treated to prevent them from rusting any further than they appear to be around the edges. I'm undecided about keeping these. It all boils down to whether or not we can find a better alternative. When compared to these, our original dishes appear to be brand new. There are no flaws, no rust, and no flaking. br>br>I'm extremely disappointed in this brand, which I've relied on for years to provide me with a variety of camping supplies.
