I recently received this spoon and gave it a quick wash before putting it to the test. So far, these are my thoughts and opinions.
- This spoon's bowl is half as large as the Toaks long handle spoon's bowl. Because I'm a big guy, I can handle a larger spoon more easily than someone who is smaller. If you're not used to eating with a spoon that's close to the size of a table spoon, you might want to reconsider.
- I was looking for a spoon with a smooth surface, and this one fits the bill. I have several titanium spoons and prefer the smooth surfaces because the rough ones make me think they'd be more difficult to clean and don't feel right in my mouth.
- I like that the handle does not have cutouts, which I believe can trap food particles and go unnoticed if you are cleaning quickly or if the food is sticky, such as the cheese in MH lasagna.
- In my opinion, this spoon is a little pricey, but I am willing to pay more for high-quality equipment. In the end, Do you really want the cheapest if your life or well-being is on the line?br>I'll try to update this review next fall after a summer's worth of use (assuming I don't lose the spoon). . . . br>. . . If FitnessCity offered a flexible connector to turn a couple of these into tongs (as Toaks does, but it won't fit this), I'd buy a couple if the price was right.
- UPDATE - br>It's been almost TWO YEARS since I bought a couple of these spoons, and all I can say is that I'm still pleased with them. After heavy use in 2019 and the limited use they received in 2020, I have not noticed any wear on the bowl part. br>I'm so pleased with the spoons that I'm considering purchasing a few more and cutting the handles down to regular length to replace some other brands' spoons with cutouts. Have I mentioned that I dislike the cutouts? I don't and believe that they are a waste of time given how little weight can be saved by doing so. I mean, if I get to the point where I can't carry my pack with the few grams it saves, I'm going to use a game cart and bringing enough gear to justify it. Glamping, I believe it's called, and a "game cart" is one of those two-wheeled pull carts that some people use to transport dead animals out of the woods. br>IN ANY CASE- These spoons are still a bit pricey, but I now believe they are well worth the money.

I looked high and low for a suitable option that wouldn't break the bank (these are titanium, after all). I found this finessCity version, which had good reviews, a great price, and a corny carrying case. I figured 2 out of 3 wasn't bad, so I went ahead and bought it. br>br>After having it for a few months, it has quickly become one of my favorite pieces, and it's not just for camping! I see the benefit of their ability to go into the freeze-frame. I rarely use dried meals in bags because they tend to get all over your hands. We throw ourselves into it completely. This is useful for grabbing into the communal plates of food while sporkin' it up, which I was still walking to with my broken spoon. This works well with jars and bottles that are quite deep. This is ideal for my work lunches, where I bring hot soups, chilis, vegetables, and other items in a thermos. It's a breeze to get inside the container! br>br>Overall, the quality appears to be excellent, the carrying case is fantastic (yes, it is a little heavy and bulky, but it is only one spork, so I haven't noticed), and this is one of the best purchases I've ever made! I'd like to purchase some for my own home because I adore this! br>br>Creative+ paraphrase: I bought a couple more after having one for a year or so, one for the lunchbox and one so we have a couple when we go camping! Last month, on our last snow camping trip, I tossed mine into the roaring fire that had been burning for the majority of the night. The next day, I discovered it with a wonderful new patina, and it was still as good as it had been! I'm still as enthusiastic about a spork as one can be, which is apparently more enthusiastic than I had anticipated!.

This spoon is a significant upgrade over my previous standard-sized long-handled titanium spoon. It has a much larger polished bowl, which is fantastic. It has a longer handle, which is fantastic. It has a lot of sturdiness to it. I like this spoon so much that I'm not just going to use it as a camping spoon; I'm going to keep it in the kitchen and use it for my morning cereal every day. It will be used in the kitchen at other times as well, where its extra long handle will come in handy. br>So, why only four stars instead of five? In their quest to address all of the complaints about the old smaller long-handled titanium spoons, the manufacturer, in my opinion, overlooked one minor point. The handle's edges should have been rounded off. It's not a big deal, but I lightly sanded the edges on mine, and now it feels a little better in my hand. I still like this spoon. It's a huge improvement over my previous one. However, I believe that, in the pursuit of perfection, the manufacturer should have rounded the edges of the handle.
