Questions & Answers

Is the Toaks Titanium 750ml pot going to fit inside?

Yes.

Is it possible to fit the Solo stove inside?

The Solo stove (regular size, not the large one) fits perfectly in this pot set, as I can attest. In fact, it's almost a perfect match. The Solo stove is just slightly shorter than the top edge of the 1100 pot when the pot rest ring is inverted inside the stove for transport. This means you can store items like Esbit fuel, an alcohol stove, folding utensils, and even a small bottle of soap and a small scrub sponge on top of and inside the Solo stove. This pot's dimensions are perfect for the Solo, which is why I purchased it.

Is it possible to use an 8 oz iso- Is it possible to fit a butane fuel canister into the pot?

Yes, I have the MSR 8 oz, which fits perfectly. I put some tinfoil under it in case I catch fish, as well as my stove and lighter on top. The lid is placed on top, and the orange bag holds everything together.

When the pan/lid is stored, does it secure/fit snugly to the pot? I recently purchased a Snow Peak Trek 900 Titanium Cookset, and the lid comes off far too easily?

It's a *friction* fit, but the pan/lid fits snugly. I don't do much with mine when it's turned upside down. Also, the only time I put my lid on is when I'm about to stuff it into the included stuff sack (which fits around the entire setup *extremely* snugly). I'm confident that everything will stay in place because the drawstring on the stuff sack is pulled tight. I hope this has been of assistance. I don't use the pan part of this unit very often, but the 1100ml pot is wonderful and I use it frequently.

It's a joke that the "pan" is so small
3/5

To be clear, I don't have enormous hands. You'll see what I'm talking about if you look at the image. Only half a strip of bacon could be cooked in this pan. I'm not sure what purpose it serves because it's so tiny. I was looking for something to use as a plate, but I'm not sure what I'd put in it besides a kidney bean, which would be a single kidney bean. Why did they bother to make this in the first place? It's beyond ridiculous; note that the pictures they show don't put the pictures in any kind of context, so you'll assume it's much bigger than it is. Please take a look at the image I posted to see how insignificant it is. The pot is fine, but keep in mind that the lid is a tiny baby pan. Spend the money on a pot with a proper lid instead.

It's the perfect size for a stove and an 8-ounce fuel canister
5/5

This pot and pan are of excellent quality, both in terms of strength and weight. I use it with my MSR pocket rocket 2 and an 8oz fuel canister, and it fits them both snugly. It takes 3 minutes or less to boil water. I'd strongly advise a friend to try it. br>Toaks, thank you.

It's been a few years
4/5

I'm still in a good mood! This cooking set has been in my possession for about four years. It's still as good as new after 5 years. Nesting the lid on top of the pot is a great time saver for me. The pot can hold an 8-ounce gas canister, as well as a few packets of precooked oatmeal, soup, and/or coffee or tea; It's not big enough for a day hike, and it won't fit in a folding micro-bag. However, I must transport the stove separately. Although the pan is small, it is adequate for frying small portions of food or serving soup or pasta in a "deep" dish. The set has started to get a little hot. After a couple of nights of camping out, it's still easy to clean with a regular scrub pad. Overall, I think it's a fantastic set for a day or overnight trip, and the initial outlay more than pays for itself over time. If I had to think of something to improve, I'd add a second lid to the pot. The frying pan/plate can be used, but it's usually being used for meal prep or already has food in it, and not having a lid wastes heat (and gas fuel).

Handles that are brittle, and a pan that is useless
3/5

Toaks, at this price point, I was hoping for a higher level of quality. The handles are a little flimsy (they wiggle and move around like loose teeth), and the pan could have been an inch deeper and wider by fitting on the outside of the pot rather than nesting on the inside, giving much more surface area and depth to actually fry something semi-cooked. substantial without adding a lot of weight or taking up a lot of room The pan's current size allows it to hold about four people. 5 oz tofu (I'm a vegan) or whatever protein you eat, at most. Even so, there would be very little space to flip your protein. I'm not sure if the pan is a one-of-a-kind item of this size, or what backpackers do with it. Please leave a comment if you have any information.

Under the weight of the pan, the handles will collapse
3/5

The cup, the spork, and now the pot and pan are all mine. The good news comes first: When used solely for cooking, the materials are extremely light and durable. The pan becomes a fantastic baconater if you cut your bacon strips into thirds like I do. The bad news is that the pan can only cook two medium eggs at a time. The pan handles aren't strong enough to lift your cooked item off the stove or fire. An 8 oz box of baking soda (for cleaning the items - I'll upload a video later) Scratch-free and environmentally friendly! The pan handles collapse as a result of this, so the foldover design as a whole should be reconsidered. This is risky because the contents of the pan can burn you if it falls forward, and my pan isn't round enough to fit into the pot. It's not round, so it won't be able to completely cover the pot. This is something I'm working on. Toaks, keep up the good work.

Excellent Cooking Kit for the Traveler
5/5

When we go backpacking, we use this to do our camping. The set is both lightweight and long-lasting. The pieces themselves are ideal for a trip with two people. We boil about 500ml of water for our meals, so that's not an issue. When unfolded, the handles stay in place and are cool to the touch when heated. The mesh bag that comes with it is fantastic. It's a little heavier than the ones that come with SnowPeak or other brands, but it's unquestionably more durable and secures the set. In our packs, there is no rattling. br>br>The lip around the pan is the best design feature here. Steam will not condense on the lid and roll down the outside of the pot because the pan is placed inside the kettle. If you use solid fuel tablets, as we do, this is a big deal. There isn't much I can complain about. br>br> We haven't had it long enough to put the durability to the test, but so far it has performed admirably.

It's a great addition to a cook kit for backpacking
5/5

This is a fantastic addition to any backpacker's cook kit! The fry pan is a little on the small side (1 egg, half-cut bacon slices), but that's compensated for by the fact that it can both fry and boil! I got rid of the plastic. such as a coating on the pan and pot handles that allows them to be placed directly on top of a bed of coals This cookware is made from biodegradable materials. Stoves that run on fuel, alcohol, or canister gas Extremely adaptable and light! I have a few Toaks products and plan to purchase more!.

Good pot
5/5

I've had good luck with this pot. I was initially concerned that the 700 ml pot would be insufficient. As a solo traveler, I've found that the smaller pot is adequate for my needs, but the larger one is nice because I can boil more water at once to make my coffee and enjoy it while preparing a meal. I use an MSR pocket rocket 2 as a stove. The pot fits snugly inside the stove's ends and does not protrude. A can of gas, a lighter, and a small scrub pad can all fit into the pot. Although the pocket rocket stove will fit on it, it will not fit in its plastic case. br>While the included pan is a good idea, I have yet to use it. Some reviews have been critical of the product due to the small size of the pan. Hello! It's four inches tall, according to the label. Figure it out with the help of a ruler! It all boils down to having a lid on the pot to help it heat up faster and keep bugs out of your food. It is loose on the pot and does not snap into place. Consider the size of an egg McMuffin to get an idea of the diameter. It's big enough to fry an egg. br>The kit comes with a mesh bag to keep everything together, and it's the right size. To hold eating utensils, a sleeve is sewn along the outside of the bag. If you use a spork with a long handle, it will protrude significantly from the rest of the kit. It doesn't take up any additional space whether you use it or not. br>To summarize, I am pleased with my purchase and would recommend this item!.
