Questions & Answers

This would be compatible with the Billy Pot How many liters?

It's not at the bottom of the 2 it's in the middle. This billy is 5L and will fit a 27-inch fry pan and 14-inch straining bowls. In a pinch, I use it to strain liquids out of the billy by holding it on the edge of the spout when straining

Does anyone know of any other disc that may be an alternative to the one reported as poor fitting? With a 27-point scale, I scored well Setting up a set of 0UL/HAs and a multi-set There is no fit for the upper windshield with this disc. ?

In this case, the disc is for the pots, not the windshield.

A multi disc can nest within a 27-degree bend How many uls are there in three?

I do indeed fit it nicely in my 27-inch bag You can boil 8 cups of water As a matter of fact, it dampens slight rattling when in use.

There might be a reason why some reviews are "poor fit

" I'll explain a bit about such a simple accessory in this long winded review. The pictures are even better! In the past two days, I have purchased a number of multipacks The 27 series stove set comes with a disc. I have the impression that this small cover is quite durable. The container is quite rigid, but does flex when it needs to. There are almost no hills, but there are still some. There is no difference in weight between my scale and my calculator. A net weight of 8 oz or 79 According to the photos, the underside of the disc I received had grooves and rings that looked a little different than in the stock image (see pictures). This is likely an image of a disc from the 25 series. It is pretty difficult to find online descriptions of all the uses of this disk. Those additional numbers are similar to those shown below on the disc rings). While I tried a variety of ways to use/store the discs, I found that in most cases it fit quite well, there is one case where it did not. In the beginning, I was inclined to agree with some of the other reviews that the disc didn't fit correctly. Trangia replied to my email and I would say that the fit is fine for the most important uses. However, there's more to it than that. As seen in my pics, the disc has an outer lip (#1) that attaches to the lower windshield and keeps the disc from sinking into soft surfaces, such as The disc is in a good position in this position. As is shown in the photos, the disc has an inner ring (#2 in my pictures) which easily attaches to either pot so it can be used as a lid (after cooking), strainer, cutting board, etc. In this position, the disc fit perfectly. It appears from #1 and #2 that there is a middle ring (#3 in my photos) that may have been designed to be rusted against As shown in the above image, when everything is packed together, the disc is placed between the upper windshield and the fry pan (for the purpose of protecting the fry pan). It would make sense that the upper windshield would be able to fit into this middle ring snugly and seamlessly. There is no overlap (but it is I asked Trangia, via email, how much the trip would cost I asked if they knew about this fit issue and if they had heard about In a nutshell (and after one day) here is what they have to say Your email is appreciated. I appreciate your efforts. It is well known that there is a problem. There was never a plan for the pots to be fitted into all grooves on the disc from the start. As you described, they fit both windshields in the larger 25-piece set, but as you have noticed, they do not fit the 27-piece Unfortunately, this creates more confusion, and I apologize for Please accept my best wishes/Best regards from Malin Bergman

I requested if they are planning to tweak the design of the 27 set and/or disc to address this problem. Upon finding out what I can, I will post a reply. This is a great accessory all in all. Does this step absolutely need to be done? The answer is probably no. It's useful for what it's made for, right? The answer is yes, in my opinion. There is no noticeable difference in performance due to the disc's odd fit in the packed set. It looks like the disc still provides some protection for the fry pan when it is strapped together, and when that is done, it would be slightly more secure than the stock fry pan protection The first time I use this set is in my kayak/pack/truck, so I'll find out if there are any problems once I put some miles on it. That is not likely to happen.

Straining is easy with this
4/5

pasta, it is fine.
If you want to use it to put a base on snow, I am not sure - I have not done that. It's okay to use it to protect your fry pan, but not for anything else. Do not make the same mistake as me and think that the lid can be used to cook with. The smell of plastic and scorching of the outer edge of a pot is the result of a Trangia burner licking the side of the pot. That is something you can do with a fry pan. Make a copy of the multi-part document Putting the disk to the test. Alternatively, you can just live with the scorching and replace it when it becomes too severe.

A fix has been made for this issue Trangia 27 series has now been nested properly with these pieces
4/5

Edited on Sept. 20, 2017 I have recently purchased another of these, and it appears that Trangia seems to have resolved the issue that was affecting the Although they now fit well, the four-star rating is arguably overpriced for what they are and they should be included in the set, therefore. Nonetheless, they are very useful and will help Trangia resolve this issue. An old review stated that the Series 27 Multi Disk did not fit properly when it was placed over the top windscreen "- This is quite hard to believe given that the Trangia has been producing them for the last couple of years despite the fact that they do not nest properly over the top of the One of my 25 series's has one as well, and it fits and functions flawlessly. The fact that Trangia didn't fix the mistake with the dimensions of the 27 Multi Disk indicates that they made a mistake on their part. I expected more from them. There is no issue with the inside of the frying pan, the belly pan, and under the bottom windscreen. However, the last set of grooves will not fit over the top windscreen, and the frying pan will sit crooked due to being higher on the one end. There is no effect on the function of the multi-touch screen Although it nests less nicely than it would if it had been properly sized, both disk and package are still nestable. To my mind, that is the case Basically, Trangia manufactured their products in a sloppy manner. The pieces of plastic in question are quite costly and should nest properly in my opinion. Since I am disappointed with the product and don't get what it is supposed to do, I gave it a two star rating. I had considered returning it, but I got a Dremel tool for Christmas and I thought this would be a perfect time to use it. In order to make this work I used the Dremel to cut about half of the outside lip (grove) off the multi-part tape On a disc. As a result, the outside groove on the disk still fits over about half of the top windscreen, which helps it stay in place better. Now that the other half of the grove has been removed, it is not in the way and is no longer forcing the frying pan to rise. Therefore, with this modification the frying pan now sits relatively flat if it were up to me, I may not have been so skilled with the Dremel. I love it. To sum up, it took me longer to figure out how to use the Dremel than to complete the project. The Multi Disk would have been returned if I didn't want to play with the Dremel, and I would have recycled the plastic cutting board to protect the frying pan instead. It is likely that this alternative would have been cheaper and take as long to do as the first.

This strainer and cutting board is a combination
5/5

What a great idea! into the Trangia cooking set and can be used as both a strainer or chopping board! Adds very little weight while providing you with a portable 2 in 1 tool much easier to carry when cooking on the trail. My recommendation would be to add this kit to your Trangia cooking kit if you already have it!.

Working hard at multiple tasks It is disc
4/5

As a lid to keep your food warm, as a frying pan cover for storage, as a cutting and prepping surface, and as a strainer and colander for cooking pasta, a frying pan cover is a great addition to your kitchen.

I find 27 series to be a good match
5/5

I found this kit to be a perfect fit for my Trangia Duossal 27 kit. Despite this, the jacket fits well and does not snap on. My expectations were greatly exceeded since it is thicker and stiffer than I would want it to stay above the snow, so that it wouldn't sink!.
