This sling is ideal for backpacking when I ride my motorcycle I pack light and it's Having water for rinsing and washing is important to me. Besides serving as a bucket for cooling beverages, I also use it as an ice bucket.

As shown in the picture, it does not stand up

This stand up like it appears in the picture, and I was hoping to fill it with items. If you needed it to stand up, this would not be the way to go. The hard-sided version is what I ordered. I believe it to be reasonably durable, however.
