It's adhered to the surface with solder. You can do it yourself if you're confident in your abilities. If it was shipped by Bering's Hardware, please contact us with your Amazon order ID and we'll send you a replacement pole, as they shouldn't arrive broken!
The pole is made of metal and is extremely well constructed. You place the marshmallow, hot dog, or whatever you want between two metal Skewers on a stainless steel pole and lower it onto the flame. We have a pit barrel bbq, so this is perfect for us. As a result, the flame can be seen from a long distance. It's now incredibly simple and tasty. In my opinion, it is well worth the money.
It's 34 1/2 inches long, according to the product description. It doesn't go any further than that, unfortunately - That's the length that's been set in stone.

I bought another one for my son because this has been a hit for years. It's actually more practical than any of the other, more boring styles! Even strangers are entertained when I bring it camping. It takes some practice to get the fish to flip the hot dogs over, but once you get the hang of it, it's a lot of fun. It's a hit with my 6-year-old granddaughter because the hot dogs don't fall off.
This is a fantastic idea that the entire family will enjoy - Not only children are affected. The concept is what earns it four stars, but don't get me wrong: there are some things that could be done better. br>For example, I like that you don't have to bend down or crouch down to get your marshmallows or hot dogs close to the fire; however, the handle could be a little longer, at least for adults, because it would be too long for children. Having the handle/rod longer would allow you to sit in your seat rather than being forced to sit right next to the fire, which isn't a bad thing. br>It also comes with a handy device that allows you to flip the food on your prongs. However, the device is on the end piece, right next to the prongs, which is a problem. As a result, you must either flip it quickly or use a stick to flip it when toasting the first side, causing it to become hot. It's still a good idea because you'll need to toast both sides!.
This was something my wife requested for camping last summer, and it worked perfectly. It's cute for the kids, and it's a nice way to roast foods without having to hold a stick directly over the fire, but I'm not sure it gives you any 'extra' reach. Although the item's overall length is longer than a standard poker, you end up cutting into it by tilting it up and letting the metal rod dangle down. All in all, it kept items secure, they held up well after a lot of use, and the younger kids enjoyed using them.
It's a lot of fun to play this game. When we go camping, the kids get into a fight over it. It's difficult to flip it over if there isn't something on both sides of the "hook. " It's also difficult to remove hot food without holding the hot metal part because of the way it swings.
When it's time to buy a Christmas present, what do you get? So I went ahead and purchased it. When you're not sure who'll get it and don't want to spend a lot of money, this is a great gift to give. Isn't it true that grandchildren are so unique? However, while this method works well for wieners and marshmallows, it is less effective for actual fishing.
I bought this as a gift for a family member who enjoys fishing and roasting over an open fire; he loved it and had a lot of fun learning how to flick it just right to get the hook to flip over and cook on both sides.
He adores it, "THERE IS A FISHHHHHH" he exclaims, "THERE IS A FISHHHHHH". It's not only cute, but it's also functional. I really like how easy it is to flip through the pages. Just remember to bring a towel or something to cover yourself with as it warms up:.
We took two of these to a mountain vacation home for a week. My 9- To use these things, your niece and nephew wanted to build a fire every morning, noon, and night. They had great success grilling hotdogs in addition to marshmallows. Although you can try to cook pretty much anything that fits into a spike. Attempt is the key word; whatever the case, it was a lot of fun and about as safe as you can get with open flames.
