Questions & Answers
It's made of cast iron, so it'll last a long time. It's fine if you season it.
Sandwiches or pies would be made with the other type of iron, which does not have slots.
It's too cold to go outside right now, so I'm in the camper. But I really like this. Burger patties, bratwursts, and hotdogs have all been cooked in it. There's no such thing as a limit. It's fantastic, and I wish I'd purchased it years ago. Because it's too heavy to hold, we usually just put it on the grate.

We bought this last year to make pizza sandwiches while camping, rather than burgers, and it works perfectly. All you have to do now is keep an eye on the bread to make sure it doesn't burn. When we go camping this Memorial Day weekend, I'll give it a try for burgers. Food residue burns off easily if you leave it in hot coals.
The only thing I would suggest is that if you have children or older people with weak arms, you get the single burger maker for them, as the double one may be too heavy for them to lift up long enough to cook a burger.
We've also used it to make bratwurst. It has the capacity to cook for four people. We wish we'd known about this years ago when we were looking for a way to cook 6 brats or hotdogs at a time.
We added this to our camping supplies because it's a great piece! We've been camping for over 30 years and have always used a regular square fire iron! This is awwwwsomeness at its finest! We adore them because they are so simple to use.
It isn't very durable. br>When turning the pole, it does not stay screwed in. Rusted to the core. br>This was a terrible purchase.
It's a well-made, solid product.
The last time I went camping, I used this cooker. Burgers will love it. Patties made of sausage.
