No, I do not believe that is true. They're designed to work with the stove that's included.
The total cost of the package, including the bag, is one dollar. br>The pots only weigh 46 lbs. 74 lb. I hope this has been of assistance.
It's a small set of pots and pans. The small pot could even be compared to a large cup. Fuel can be purchased locally, and my set included a folding tripod to hold the fuel canister.
The most effective gas is isobutane.

So far, I've used this set on a few trips and it's been fantastic! However, I would recommend getting some sort of support for the tank, as it can become quite unstable. Also, ensure that the gas tank you purchase is the correct size. The first tank I bought was a standard green Coleman tank, which DOES NOT FIT. I had to go back and get another tank that fit the burner, and here's one that does:.
So, I've had this thing for about 6 hours and have beaten the snot out of it (literally slipping and falling off the trail) by crashing 60 feet end over end through dense brush and woods.
Came to a halt, scrabble bacteria to the trail 100% certain this thing had been destroyed, and all I wanted was a cup of tea to calm I took out my pack, pulled it out, and opened it up, and voila! There isn't a scratch on the surface. I'm all set to go. My cup was in worse shape than this set! br>br>I love how simple it is to set up; it's a no-brainer. Extra forks and spoons aren't necessary unless you're cooking for two people, in my opinion. br>br>I'll definitely be picking this little guy up for my family so they can have one as well when we go camping for the Fourth of July. br>br>The handles on the fry pan are the only minor drawback, or something to be aware of. One was loose, and with a small nudge from a ball peen hammer and a piece of wood in between, it was snugged up again. br>br>Folks, if you're into light packing and looking for a beginner stove, this is it. br>br>It doesn't cost a fortune, it's accident-proof, and it arrived in two days. That was lightning fast!.
After years of using a sterno stove, this is especially true. Because I don't always get along with other people, I've decided to: ) It's perfect for a single person. The "Piezo" starter did not work at first. I worked with it for a while after I got home, in a more controlled environment, and it started working, and it hasn't stopped since. That was entirely my fault. Before leaving, I should have set up the stove and double-checked that everything was in working order. Without knowing for certain, I'm guessing there was some kind of factory residue that needed to be removed. The stove is well-built, and the fuel control functions properly. I compared the stove to one my daughter uses that is more expensive, and the difference was too small to mention. The addition of the small orange tripod is a big plus. I pack the small fuel containers, which can become unstable if not supported under the weight of a full pot or pan. A "brick" of Ramen fits perfectly in this pot. They're simple to clean, and the handles make handling them safe and simple. I've been warned not to put the pans in the dishwasher to clean them. I can't comment on that, but I'll follow their advice; it's a worthwhile investment, and it arrived a day earlier than expected! Good luck with your camping trip!.
I understand that this set was designed for use in the wild. br>br>At home, I cooked a test meal in my pots and then threw it in the dishwasher. On the package or in the description, there is no warning. Now I'm stuck with a brand new set that I can't use. Such a letdown. br>br>Aside from this one flaw, I really like the set. The stove is fantastic, the canister stand is perfect, and the spork appears to be sturdy. Plastic accessories are a waste of money. However, there are so many other useful items in this kit that it makes little difference. And the fuel canister, along with the majority of the accessories I kept, fits inside. br>br>UPDATE: br>br> 7/20/2018br>Since then, I've received a refund and a new set from the company. In addition, the description has been updated to state that it is not dishwasher safe. My rating has been updated to five stars because my main issues have been resolved. br>br>I would buy this set again in a heartbeat. And we'll most likely buy more of these sets as our camping group expands. camping with children.
This was an excellent collection. That's a fantastic offer! On a five-day backpacking trip, I took it with me. But I only brought a pot, a pan, a stove, a folding spork, a ladle, and a loofa. It comes with two bowls that are absurdly small and useless. The folding spork kept breaking, and the loofa proved to be completely useless. However, considering that buying a stove alone is usually more expensive than this set, all of the "extra" items didn't matter for the price. There's still a lot of bang for your buck here. The stove's ignitor switch is also finicky, only working about 7/10 of the time, so bring a lighter or matches with you when you use it (I knew this before I bought because I had read it in other reviews, so it wasn't a big deal to me). I would also recommend looking for a windscreen, as I am currently doing so (I used my above treeline - approximately 12,000 feet - so there was a lot of wind) but it still worked great and heated my water quickly.
For the price, this is an excellent set. Please do not be fooled by the low price. I took it with me on a weekend hike, and we were quickly preparing Spam. Screws right on to a JetFuel with no issues. Our set included a natural fiber sponge that looked like a squash and was very easy to set up and take down. I strongly advise you to replace it with a flat, nylon non-slip shoe. Scratch pad that saves space and is easier to clean. br>br>On it, the butane burner serves as a flame starter, but I'd bring a backup flame source. It will take a few attempts to break in the flame starter before it fires for the first time. br>br>It doesn't take much of a flame to get this thing going; start low and work your way up; if you go too high, the center of your pan will burn. However, the burn will not be visible on the bottom due to the high quality. When we got home, we used detergent to rub out our minor burn. If you're serious about getting this. br>br> I hope that this article has swayed you to make a decision. This is a purchase you will not be sorry for.
