Aside from the pointy spout, this is a very round container.
On the kettle, there was no origin stamp, and the origin of the product was not indicated on the label. Based on the etched Uberleben on the kettle and the URL on the product label, I can only assume it was made in Germany.

It's a beautiful kettle, but it's also quite heavy. I've never tried turning it into a mug handle before. When I get home, I'll have to give it a shot. To keep your belongings from turning black, it comes in a canvas bag. It's slightly more than a liter in volume. Did I mention it's heavy? It's a "Bushcraft pot." Titanium is a fantastic material, and there are plenty of nice pots that aren't even close to the weight of this thing. Keep in mind that you must transport all of your belongings.

This is not the case. It's time to update the product photos. br>br>The pot handle is not wrapped in paracord as shown in the picture. The handle is also significantly shorter and lower, only a few inches above the lid. The wooden handle is also made of a cheap porous balsa wood-like material, which is not ideal for hanging as the photos suggest. There is no strainer built into the spout, and the canvas bag with the drawstring is also not included; instead, I received the zip pouch shown above/below. br>br>This is a completely different pot than the one shown on the product page. I was disappointed because I liked the design, but all of the details that I liked were missing!.
I went over to this pot after first noticing their camp stove was defective and uneven, resulting in a cut thumb (I know how to assemble and am very familiar with puzzles and sharp things, so it's not user error), and discovered that the wood handle isn't even properly mounted to the lid. It also does not resemble a strainer in any way. br>br>I believe I will return both items. In fact, I believe I'll return your overpriced wooden cup and spoon as well. I was planning to order the entire line from you, minus the clearly inferior fire starter - Take a look at the Fire Fast; it's a magical device. br>br>What a huge disappointment for the entire Uberleben brand, which I had high hopes for. I'm now extremely dissatisfied with the situation. Instead, I suggest getting a Pathfinder kit and a titanium camp stove. Stronger, but also lighter. br>br>So far, I've given this brand a 0/10. simply a hyped-up version of a hyped-up version of a up, overpriced brand. br>br>Thank you for making me return so many items and wasting my time and money.
br>br>The wooden lid top popped right off the first time I used this pot- as well as the metal screw top and everything. No, I didn't pull on it too hard. It was not overtightened in any way. It was easy to remove. It's the second time I've had a problem with their pots. br>br>I had to go through THREE different uberleben fire rods before finding one that wasn't defective from the factory. br>br>Now their customer service is excellent. That's something I'll give them. Their quality control, on the other hand, is clearly lacking, and their products will not outlast or "uberleben" even light use. If you fix these problems, I'll come back as a customer.
FIVE OUT OF FIVE STARS: On my induction cooktop, I use this camp item at home. One boil makes enough hot water for two cups of tea, coffee, cocoa, or rehydrating trail meals. An Esbit heater, a Butane stove, or a twig stove are used to 'boil it up. ' 'SCANDI DESIGN' is more than just a pretty kettle shape. The piece's ergonomics are effective. The heavy-hitting The heavy-duty curved stainless wire handle is installed 'inward' for a secure grip when lifting and shifting the kettle. The handle does not receive any heat. The wide base secures the pan on a variety of cooktops. There are two methods for releasing steam. Hot vapor is kept away from your hands by a spout and three vent holes in the lid. A good quality wooden knob allows you to lift the lid with ease. The knob is secured to the lid with spot-welding. a screw to be welded This is going to be the 'weak spot. ' Modern superglues (available on Amazon) can be used to repair the screw contact surface.
The handle is not wrapped in paracord. Yes, it is well-made. However, you can get GSI or MSR for less. The word "overleben" is a cool one that few Germans use, but it is a German word. The pot, on the other hand, is made in the far east, not in Germany or Idaho. Also, I couldn't find any information about the product's country of origin, which is important to me. A common trend I'm seeing in product advertising nowadays is to attach a cool foreign word, such as überleben, Fahrvergnügen, Rumpelstiltskin, yada, yada, to a product, giving the impression that the product is from the word's homeland, but it's usually made somewhere other than the name would suggest, but it's still a very good product overall.
The waxed canvas bag was particularly appealing to me, and it proved to be extremely practical. It has a nice weight to it, and the actual pot's handle construction is fairly simple to put together. I like the size as well, but the lid handle wasn't flush with the lid right out of the box, which detracted from the overall rating. And, upon further investigation, it appears that it was never properly set in the first place. The logo on the knob drew my attention right away, so it was purely cosmetic. Overall, even if it had been straight, it would have been bin bumped or dinged off. (The knob is just poorly made in general), so once it falls off, I'll replace it with a "straight knob. ".
This has a very nice design to it. It's not like anything else you've seen, but it's probably more functional than some. When it's up, the handle looks great and hangs nicely. Even if it's full of water or whatever, it's in good shape. When turned to the side, it's useless, but because of the way the handle is attached, you can easily make a straight handle to use in various applications. VERSATILE! I guess that's what I'm saying. And the bag is tall enough to fit other mess items in it if you want to. Exceptionally well-designed product. br>br>Update: This couple is a match made in heaven. Isn't it true that you should always practice with your gear at home?.
This is a well-made kettle. Nice lidbr>Drips profusely when pouring, despite your best efforts. br>Also, the handle's paracord only goes so far. The paracord melts near the attachment point as the handle heats up. br>I would not purchase this item again.
