This is a small, very small thing! One of the compartments would not zip if you put a regular 1" binder in it, and there would not be enough room in the backpack to fit more than two regular sized schoolbooks (you might be able to use it for one Put away the lunch bag and forget about it. It's going to be too big. However, even when you are able to fit everything, you cannot get the full benefit of it. When you put anything in the front top pocket, for instance, it causes a bottleneck for the middle section of the top pocket, and you have to remove everything from the front pocket to get to what you have in the middle pocket. While it may be a great-looking, sturdy backpack, it is not suitable for school use.

This backpack is AMAZING! I am in LOVE with it! Being someone who does a lot of research, I am confident this is a great resource! There's a lot of black among the kids, so my 13-year-old has I was happy to see my daughter's bright pink dress. I've had over a dozen backpacks, and this is the only one that has a built-in cup holder on the side. The bottle would fall out of all the others. A very attractive jacket that lays well against her back and has many pockets. I thought it was worth the extra money though it was more pricey. Thank you for your work. I'm happy with it.

He continues to use this backpack to hold his school laptop safely despite being destroyed by a 7 year old. Aside from the outside pockets for a bottle of water and the fifteenth compartment, he loves it all. He has room for his lunch box, water bottle, laptop, binder, and sweatshirt in the top pouch.
