Questions & Answers

Is it okay if I put this on my nipples to keep them from leaking?

That is not something you should do. It has the potential to cause mastitis and should not be used on sensitive skin. It will burn ferociously and may make you or your child ill.

Is it safe to cut your hair open?

Yes, alcohol is safe for open cuts if you can handle the sting.

What is the best way to get rid of excess spray?

Spray again, and while the spray is still wet, remove everything. You can also use acetone, which is significantly less expensive.

Take extreme caution! Use this with extreme caution
3/5

It was purchased for my elderly father, who suffers from skin tears on a regular basis. However, I have yet to apply it to him. I decided to test it on myself first, and I ended up with a small abrasion just above my index finger's cuticle. As directed, I sprayed it and applied three layers. It was as if there was a fire going on. Unfortunately, because of its location, it also covered my first finger's first joint. I didn't realize there was a problem until it was too late, and every time I bent my finger, my skin began to crack, resulting in new wounds that were far more painful than the original. I still have it and may use it on myself, but you can bet I'll be extra cautious and not use it near any joints.

I'm going to buy more! This has proven to be extremely beneficial! I had a hangnail that I pulled the other day (ouch), and it began to bleed
5/5

A regular band-aid would have been inconvenient because it was on my right thumb, which I use to unlock my phone. I sprayed it all over my nail bed and it worked perfectly. It also made it impossible for me to pick at my nails any longer. Another time it came in handy was when I popped a pimple between my eyes on the bridge of my nose and made a bloody mess. There was no way to use a regular band-aid- , and this is particularly true at work. This camouflaged the blemish and worked well with makeup. Obviously, I should avoid picking at my skin, but anxiety gets the best of me every now and then. This is something I'll keep in my medicine cabinet for sure!.

I haven't had any issues with it clogging
5/5

After colliding with a large rock with my knee while mountain biking, I keep this in my pack. When you have to bike your way back to the car after being injured, this is the easiest way to get you out and off the trails with the least amount of pain. br>It's a lot thinner than the bottled stuff with the brush, but it's easier to apply for large wounds like bashed hamburger knees; I just spray it on and rub it in with my finger. It's also effective against poison oak, preventing you from scratching yourself raw. Also works well for any type of road rash. br>Stings like no one's business for a minute or so, then no more pain, so you get that out of the way and go about your business. br>This is the best thing for wounds; spray it on three times the first day or so, then never again. There are no bandages to change, and there is no pain in the shower when it starts to heal. br>Excellent work.

It's possible that it'll cause you a great deal of discomfort
5/5

I apply New Skin to them as well as the. My hands are infected with psoriasis. It can be excruciatingly painful when they crack. I spray them with New Skin, which covers the cracks and prevents them from tearing further. The alcohol in the product is one of my favorites because it dries quickly and is anti-bacterial. I'm not fond of the burning that occurs when the alcohol comes into contact with an open wound.

I've found that 'band-aids' are mostly useless as a truck driver - They're just not going to stay put
5/5

I tried the New Skin brush and spray, and they worked just as well as a 'band-aid' and neosporin on my skin. The bristle- It appears gleaming, as if the wound had been painted with clear nail polish. The spray-on-effect on creates a more discrete edge and a thinner covering. It's barely noticeable, but it protects you and speeds up your recovery. I'm done with band-aids. From now on, I'm going to use a different skin.

It clogs up and is rendered useless
3/5

In the last 6 months, I've used it a couple of times. I just tried to use it again, and it's completely clogged, despite the fact that it's been barely used. It's best to go with the liquid. The design of the spray version is dreadful. I bought it instead of the liquid by mistake. I'm not going to make the same mistake twice.

The Spray Spreads Throughout the Room I'd like to give generously; I'm sure there's a reason for it
3/5

This is a case in point. However, I can only speak from my own personal experience. br>br>First and foremost, it's difficult to tell where the spray is aimed, but that could be my fault. br>br>However, the main issue is that the spray is too broad. If I have a cut on my hand, it could be as small as 1/8th of an inch. The shortest possible spray leaves a pool of liquid if I hold the spray close enough to make it only 1/8" long. br>br>I like the brush on NewSkin and think it works well, but I don't like this one. br>br>I like the brush on NewSkin and think it works well, but I don't like this one. Maybe someone else would go the other way, but I just can't figure it out.

There is no fire, but there is a strong odor
3/5

It hasn't stung me like some other reviews have claimed, but it does contain acetone, so expect it to smell like nail polish remover for a long time after you spray it. It takes a little longer to dry than some claim, closer to a minute than half a minute, but it seems to cover a small wound adequately, and I didn't have to worry about my son eating it off like he does with regular bandaids. Also, those of us who are allergic to latex, such as myself, will not be able to participate.
