It's ideal for people who suffer from allergic reactions to adhesives. My skin isn't irritated, and the tape or bandage doesn't come off. For me, it's nothing short of a miracle.
Each bottle contains around 140 sprays.

I've also used the non-alcoholic barrier wipes. They never seemed to have enough liquid on them when using sting barrier film wipes. Because I can control when, where, and how much adhesive I apply with the Spray, it appears to be a thousand times better. I would strongly advise anyone dealing with ileostomy issues to try this, particularly those who use the crusting technique to protect the skin around the stoma.
For years, I'd used skin tac to keep my dexcom and pump sites in place. Whether it was liquid or wipes, it worked fine. After each site change, I had to use a different product to remove all of the residue and lint that had accumulated. This is the only thing I'm using now. It's a lot easier to use, doesn't have much of a scent, I don't have to worry as much about spills, and I don't have to use a separate product to remove residue buildup when I change sites. I don't have any of the site's red rashiness, either. This is a product that I will continue to buy.
This stuff is fantastic, especially if you have to deal with wounds on a regular basis, as I do. Protects my skin from maceration and injury caused by the dressings I apply. I prefer the spray to the individually packaged barrier film because I don't have to handle it and it produces less waste.
It's a lot more convenient than using wipes. You must also be more sanitary because you are not touching the skin and thus risk spreading contaminants from one location to another. I keep an index card (or stoma measurement guide) nearby to fan the skin dry and attach the ostomy bag as soon as possible. Folding a maxi pad (I use Always Ultra thin without wings) around the stoma to catch any output that occurs while cleaning/prepping the skin has also proven to be beneficial. When we have to replace the bag, the skin looks healthy, indicating that the spray skin prep is working properly. br>br>I hope this information is useful.
This has worked well for my quadriplegic mother to protect early wounds when redness or blistering appear. I've also used it on a stubborn open sacral bedsore that was covered with MEPILEX SACRUM (a wonder dressing!). ) to speed up the healing of a sacral bedsore that had failed to respond to other treatments.
It works great, stays in place until I need to remove it, and leaves no messy residue! Thanks.
When my son had a colostomy, we used a wipe-on version of Cavilon Barrier, but since his reversal, he gets the worst blistering diaper rash. The spray is excellent for making a "crust" with corn starch or other powder and for keeping his skin better protected under diaper cream or ointment so that it can heal. This is an absolute must-have for our diapering collection!.
This is an ostomy ancillary medical device that is rarely covered by health insurance. As a result, I purchased the product through Amazon because it can be delivered in as little as two days, as opposed to up to 12 days with the medical supply company recommended by the hospital. The product is useful for ostomy-related skin care as well as minor skin cuts and abrasions that require more than a band-aid. It has no odor and is painless, which makes it ideal for treating minor skin irritations in children.
