The expiration date on a tube I purchased in 2019 is June 2021. However, I have successfully used the product long after the expiration date on the tube has passed.
Mine was recommended when I was on a blood thinner after cardiac surgery, and it's been two years since I bought it on 3/18.
It's meant for minor cuts, but I used it on a deep cut on my son's index finger and it worked great. Any severe arterial bleeding would be washed away by the body's natural processes. It should be combined with the application of pressure to the wound.

I gave myself a cut that was about an inch and a half long and went all the way to the bone. Before I could get a clean towel on it, I had lost about 8 ounces of blood. My wife was packing the kids into the car to take me to the hospital for stitches, but I decided to try this first: it stung and burned like crazy, but the bleeding stopped in 2 seconds and clotted up nicely. I scraped the Wound Seal clot off, dipped it in iodine, dried it, and superglued it shut a few days later. There was no infection, and there was no scar on the skin.
I can cut myself without even realizing it because my blood is so thin. This product works quickly to stop minor bleeding while also forming a seal to aid in the healing of the cut. Just in case, I keep it in the garage and in my truck! It was well worth the money.
This isn't for large gaping cuts, but it does work on smaller, deeper cuts right away. I cut the top of my finger off and had it reattached by a neighbor who is also an EMT. It was a cinch to use. This is something that every first-aid kit should have! It almost instantly starts working. It appears to be sand. After that, it becomes more solid.

Anyway, I slipped on the tarp on the floor and reached for my left hand, which went through the window. I'll say, "I'll be damned," as I place it on my hand's cut. This is something that every first-aid kit should have. My son had a severe knife cut on the tip of his finger, and a sprinkle of the powder instantly sealed it. It was immediately sealed with this product. You simply cover it with a dressing. It will simply fall off if you leave it alone until the cut heals. If the cut bleeds again, simply apply more of the powder. redress.

If I break my skin by slamming my arm against something, it bleeds profusely and is nearly impossible to stop. At home, I have solutions to the problem, but at work, I didn't know about it until someone told me about it. I now have one in my pocket, and I've already put it to good use. Applying a small amount to the wound quickly and safely stops the bleeding. It's a sealed tube with clotting powder inside that allows me to get advanced treatment for my small wounds without having blood all over the place. If you're on a diet, I strongly advise you to purchase some to keep on hand. It is not a solution for end-of-life care, but it does give you time to seek help.
So far, everything has gone well. I'd had a capillary nose bleed for years that wouldn't go away, and I was tired of bleeding all over the place every few days. I bought the powder to put a quick stop to the more severe bleeds, but they haven't returned in weeks after I used it! Fingers crossed, but even if they don't, the powder stops the bleeding immediately, with no or minimal scabbing to cause a recurrence. I even misplaced it and only got a few grains in my nose as a result of my error. Is it working as it should? It's even better than I expected!.
