Questions & Answers
Yes, because there is no weight in the cart when it is empty, it can be a little tricky to roll over the balls. It gets easier and easier once it starts filling up.
The ball picker's success is determined by the ball's size and shape. The ball that can be picked up must be of tennis ball size and shape.
Pick up a few balls at a time and place them in the rolling drum, which can hold up to 50.

I've used it a few times now and only have a few complaints. The first is that it works, but you must slow down just as the tennis ball approaches the roller. If you roll too quickly into the ball, one of the tines will frequently be struck and the ball will fly away. My second gripe is getting the balls out of the roller. You can roll it around quickly, but when you get to the ball, just slow down and it will most likely pick it up. To get all of the balls out, you'll need to secure all three bands and put your hand inside. It would be far more convenient if the roller could be emptied more easily. So far, everything has gone well except for those two things.
Tennis balls are much smaller than pickleballs. The rods are too stiff and will not bend to allow a pickleball to pass through. I'm attempting to figure out how to improve the design so that it functions properly. I'll start with spring steel, which is thin enough to bend around and catch a ball. The concept is appealing to me. But if it doesn't work out, I'll have to return it.
