My initial thoughts can be found below. But I'm bumping up my rating due to excellent customer service; I didn't get a chance to use the product during the warranty period, so I didn't notice the problem until it was too late. Despite this, when I emailed their customer service department, they responded within a couple of hours - This occurred during non-business hours, as well. Upon discovering the issue, they promptly sent me a replacement product, so despite the initial inconvenience, their customer service team went above and beyond to make things right. This appears to be a decent net. br>br> However, the one we received was made incorrectly - On one side, the legs are the wrong length and shape, making it impossible to insert them into the bracket. It cannot be used unless that side of the net can be put together. br>br>For more information, please see the photos attached. The correct part is slightly longer and has a tapered end that fits into the bracket. It won't fit into the bracket as is without the taper.
Because our driveway and road are small, I decided to purchase this set. We live on a side street that isn't too busy, so we can practice our dinking with the portable net. Normally, I wouldn't recommend playing in the streets, but because our driveway isn't flat (as seen in the second photo and close-up of the net), it works for us. It was relatively simple to set up the net. It comes wrapped in plastic, which was a pain to remove at first, but once removed, putting the net together is fairly simple for one person. I like the foam protector because it not only protects the metal, but it also makes it easy to store the legs when you take it apart and store it in the included bag.
It was only a few days ago that I received this. It appeared at first that there was a problem with the way things were trying to fit together when I was setting up. Today, I went outside and set it up in the driveway. When I had more room to work with, it was a little easier. The way the parts are connected with an elastic cord to keep them in order of assembly ensures that the wrong parts are never installed in the wrong order. That's useful, and the buttons to keep them together are also nice, and it folds up easily when you're done with it. Two foam pieces surround one of the braces at each end, which the pieces fit into and store very neatly in the provided bag. Because it fits so well in my driveway, I believe it will work well as a practice net. Overall, I would give it a 5 star, but there is some work involved in the assembly process, so I could only give it a 4 star. Would probably work in a basement if you have some room; net is only 10 foot wide; wife thinks she will take it to friends so they can practice their dink shots, which will be perfect; overall, I would give it a 5 star; however, there is some work involved in the assembly process, so I could only give it a 4 star. The pieces that make up the legs are difficult to get in, but with practice, they should become easier. I think this will be a good addition for practicing dinking in the future, and I don't need a lot of space to do so.
I bought this to use on my sport court, which isn't quite large enough for a full-size pickleball court; assembly was simple enough, though we did have some difficulty with one piece and had to pound it in with a mallet. The height was fairly consistent, and the net was well-constructed and sturdy. We left it out in the middle of a strong wind storm, and it didn't blow away. It was simple to put together and store, and the bag is convenient. I would strongly advise anyone looking for a smaller net to purchase this.
When not in use, it's easy to put together and store. DO NOT LEAVE THE HOUSE IN THE RAIN. Rust will form on the steel tubes.
I can't compare it to the competition, but after a few months of use, I'm impressed by how sturdy it is while still being simple to use and assemble/disassemble. This book comes highly recommended.
This took less than 5 minutes to put together and take apart thanks to the bungee cords that were attached to each piece. The metal frame is of good quality, and the netting is of good quality. The set included a carrying case so you could play on the go. This net was used for serving, dink shots, and one-on-one practice. For the kids in the neighborhood, it's just one play (less running around) and a lot of fun.
We enjoy playing pickle ball with it.
