Great Stringing Machine. I don't know how a machine at this price level would do a quality job knowing I am an experienced stringer who frequently works with Prince and Ektelon machines. It was quite a pleasure to build my first racquet with the drop weight Rachet system, and it turned out well. As an alternative to mechanical stringers, it's more accurate than those that need the spring tensioner to be regularly inspected These floating clamps worked great and were extremely easy to use without slipping without the need for a starting clamp. I'm pleased with the overall quality as it's far better than I Having 6 sets of free string was a bonus, however I will not be using all of them. This is a great tool for practicing stringing. It's important to learn how to make tight knots that do not lose tension to get good results, but this applies to everyone. This stringer is highly recommended for all stringers. There will be no disappointment for you.

I did not have any intentions to use it for other things. My experience with it is that it is quite sturdy, and it was fairly easy to set up and get going. As the computer was right there on the table, I just watched a video of the unboxing and assembly. I used some Gamma string from the racquet that came with it to practice with an older racquet that I had lying around. I set the weight to 58 lbs. Stringing on this machine is a pretty straightforward process, but after stringing a few racquets, I can see why people who do this as their side job would want a better machine. It took me 2 hours to string 2 racquets. The first time I strung my racquet took me 5 hours, and I was filled with mixed emotions. There is a lot of labor involved in weaving cross strings and double strands Making sure your work is correct. While the floating clamps seemed to work fine, I couldn't tell if they slipped or let go of tension without my knowledge. I wasn't sure if my final tension was actually 58 pounds as a result of that. Since I am used to having my reference tension precisely checked and done (as far as I knew), I am just so used to it being done on a nice machine. To test it I used an app called RacquetTune, but it is wildly inconsistent on a professionally strung racquet AND even when I made sure I entered the racquet's and strings' specs as accurately as possible. To sum it up, I have a strung racquet that I don't know what the tension is, and I understand drop weight machines may have a little or a lot of variation of tension It won't hurt to lose 2 to 3 pounds. My concerns about gameplay don't matter that much as long as it plays well. In the first case, why did I buy the machine when 1) I am not a string breaker and 2) I do not intend to string to earn extra revenue? It is my nature to do things myself, so if I want to experiment with different string types and tensions, I can do that any time. I was on the fence about getting one, but I decided to get it. I'm very pleased Since it is so easy to use, even my daughter, who is 12 years old, can string her own racquet. In reality, the documentation that comes with the machine is not very detailed, and Gamma could have provided it in a more detailed format. While I do have some practice to do it takes some time to feel comfortable. New to the world of racquet restringing, I was looking for a product that would be easy to use. is supposed to, but it has a small number of minor stability issues. One needs plenty of experience with the device to learn how to work around these issues. The damage I did to my tennis racquet shells as a result of learning how to resolve these issues was unfortunate. The two-point mounting system does its job but requires extra care. I am not sure if a six-point system would work better, but I do like this two-point mounting system.

People always say that you need more than two points to hold things together. My opinion is that racquets today are made differently, due to technological advances. In the case of wooden racquets, it would be a problem, but not in this case. People tend to think that a drop weight machine is of lower quality, as well. I would not agree with that. prefer a drop weight to a spring tension machine because with a drop weight, there is a constant pull, while with a spring tension, it locks out and the string relaxes, making the stringing job a number of pounds My third reason for choosing this machine is that it is so inexpensive. If you are worried about the holding points, get one with more points, but get a drop weight or make sure the electric motor is a constant pull (which will be very expensive). It is more convenient for them to bring their racquet to me, where it can be strung in one day, than to wait a week for the pro shop to string Their claim is that there is no difference, which is not true.
