It is possible to clamp along the clamp head at different points, but you cannot clamp at one location at all. In all honesty, I have never seen ghosting when stringing soft strings.
Performing a quality, repeatable stringing job requires the most important tool in the stringing arsenal a starting clamp. Here are two ways I virtually use my S/C every day. Whenever I string, this is the first thing I do. These are handy for pulling tension when I first start wrapping, and I always have more string on hand in case I happen to need more. This is well worth the time.
There is no doubt that it helps save time in some situations, but it is more of a convenience and an extra tool. In addition to using this to launch the Yusuke method, what I enjoy most about it is that I can eliminate the need for extra string by using it at the tip of a string that is not long enough to wrap around the It is for that reason alone that I think this purchase is worthwhile. In any case, I think it is mainly designed.
I would consider this to be very expensive for the quality It is clamped to something. Even so, it does what it is supposed to do. As a Gamma X-user, I am in the market for one As a starting method, I used one of the floating clamps and two drop weight stringers (see various YouTube instructions), also known as drop weight stringers. As I break my strings once or twice a month, I only use the stringer for my own rackets. There may be issues with one of the two main strings of a floating clamp (there are ways to compensate, though) so it is much easier, and perhaps a bit more accurate, to use a starting clamp. The string tension intended (even with the using the starting clamp, there is the possibility of tension problems). It has been used twice by me, and I found it to be effective. Basically, it is a clamp with strong springs and some padding to keep the string protected. We gave it a 4 star rating for this reason.
As far as tension and dependability are concerned, this is the best.
I find it hard to comprehend why I didn't use it earlier when I first started using it. In order to make sure I don't slip the starter at the first clamp, I find it really useful to use this. In the end, I bought it so I could start the mains with the Yusuki method. In this way, you get a much more reliable tension on your mains. Knots can also be tied with this tool.
After years of struggling I got this tool and just finished restringing one of my rackets. It's amazing how much better it is.
The price is a little high.
A starting clamp is an essential tool to do a perfect job when stringing your mains. When using a machine that comes with flying clamps, it is especially important to do so. In my honest opinion, it wouldn't be a good idea. By using this clamp with my Gamma X2, I can get fairly good tension out of my mains. It is also excellent for tying knots. My 18 gauge cable does not get scratched by this clamp, which is lightweight, easy to use, and leaves no marks on the cable (it can handle strings of varying thicknesses). Strings made of polyethylene. I highly recommend this book!.
