There is a scale going from 1 to 70 in the copy I received. Maybe the wrong paper scale was used on yours. You should return the wrong paper scale to the store or have a new one mailed to your home
How do I write the number 52? What is the weight in kilograms, pounds, or short tons? In what year is 70?
As opposed to measuring the effective tension of the strings, this product compares the tension between the strings. When you have tensioned your strings, measure with it and make a note of the scale number. Check the scale number day by day and compare with the previous one. Changing the ladder strings when you lose more than 10% of the tension in their scale is advised (I am not completely sure how to calculate this percent).

Do not listen to reviews with 1 stars from people who clearly do not understand what they are In my racket, I use 48lbs of weight on the crosses and 50lbs of weight on the mains. My Dynamic Tension is taken once I have strung a racket using this device, and it comes out to about 10 pounds below how it would be on my stringing machine. You can verify this by watching any one of the thousands of racket stringing videos on YouTube. The dynamic tension of a racket is ALWAYS lower than the tension of your stringer. As a result of this device, you can use the tension drop off as a baseline to decide when to restring the violin. An additional reviewer spoke of a dynamic tension of about 20% lower than it was at the beginning. I just wanted to add my two.
Based on this gauge, I determined that it indicated almost 52# on the new stringbed. It is easier to get an accurate read if you place it in a square of strings that are close together. In reading over all the 1 star reviews, I can't understand how they all had such a hard time. We do not call this gauge a professional instrument, nor are we claiming that it is. The dial looked blank when I turned it, so I could have believed that the tension was anywhere between 50 and 100 The number 52 and the number 52# are very close. It was 52# when I knew it. Despite that, it is still a pretty decent gauge for $20. Using this tool, you can monitor your string tension and replace it when it drops below 45 pounds.
I recommend it highly. You have to realize the tension you see is not the tension it was strung at, but you certainly can see if it is fine to read it. You'll be able to get a pretty good estimate, particularly if you string your crosses at a different tension from your main strings. Excellent quality! Recommend it!.
To keep track of tennis string tension, a string tension tester is essential. In addition to measuring the tension after stringing, I also measure it once or twice a week. Strings should be replaced as soon as the tension drops greater than 8 pounds (in my case it dropped from 56 down to 48). It is important to keep in mind that "your mileage may vary". While I play with a stiff polyester string, the tension could be significantly lower even though I have a stiff string bed. By making use of a tension tester, the whole process becomes more efficient.
This is a great product, but you have to know how to use it properly. There is no way to calibrate the tension precisely Nevertheless, you will be able to compare those readings accurately. The 15th). Your trend logging will be based on this information.
You need a base reading at the time it is strung since this is trying to measure the loss of tension over time. In the absence of that, the measurement has no meaning. A single measurement will not provide a truly accurate indicator of the tension on a string.
This does serve the purpose of checking the tension on the racquet, but it is poorly crafted. I kept my tennis bag in my locker for only a week before noticing that the device's labels had peeled off. As a super glue, I had to gorilla glue things on myself to make the piece.
I was surprised at how accurately the tension was recorded. It's no secret that I checked every string around each racket strung by my local shop and my local shop did it accurately. I'm proud to say that there is Tennis in Lake Park, Florida that does it accurately.
