Questions & Answers
The antennas are held in place by velcro. It's easy to put together and stays put. They come highly recommended from me!
It does have a Velcro sleeve that is the same width as the sideline on the court, but I had some difficulty slipping the antenna into the sleeves due to the tight opening. Also, the sleeves were longer than our net (I'm not sure if we have a short net), but it was a simple fix: I simply wrapped the excess under one side of the net to the other and secured it with athletic tape. I hope you find this information useful.
For manufactured defects, there is a one-year warranty. It sounds like there was a problem with it.
Selected User Reviews For Volleyball Antennas (Pair)
I own and operate a four-court gym that focuses almost entirely on volleyball and sees a lot of traffic every day of the week. We've probably bought net antennas from every major manufacturer over the last few years, including Tachikara, Tandem, Porter, and others. br>br>ALL clamp style antennas are junk, in my opinion, and none of them have lasted more than a few months of use. The clamp at the top of the net would occasionally break, but the most common place for a break was at the bottom of the antenna, where the metal rod inserts into the plastic bottom housing/clamp. In my equipment closet, there are probably 20 sets of broken antennas! br>br>Last October, 2012, I made the decision that if I had to replace them every few months, I'd rather do it with sub-par materials. Antennas for $50 are more affordable than those for $100. We bought four of these and, amazingly, we're still using the same ones over a year later! I strongly recommend these and hope that everyone simply stops buying the poorly designed and manufactured clamp style antennas until someone comes up with a design that is both durable and long lasting.
On one hand, the cost is reasonable. You get what you pay for, on the other hand. At the top and bottom, there is a small amount of Velcro that has stayed secure to keep it from falling off. Unfortunately, the antenna does not remain horizontally stable due to the Velcro. Because the top has shifted to the left or right, we have to realign the antenna on a regular basis. They are simple to erect and dismantle, but their lack of stability is a major drawback for me as a coach.
Our beach volleyball net can't handle it because it's too long.
One of the antennas is missing. Without both of them, it's not very useful.
Threads are frail and easily unwind and break.
normal internet I wasn't sure if these were the standard antennae I was looking for based on the product description, but they're great, solid, and the entire set appears to be well made. Because our nets are older and patched together, we needed velcro fasteners rather than screw mounts, but I was concerned that they'd be too light and fragile. br>br>The two pieces of the antenna screw together tightly, and when assembled, the antenna extends the 32" above the net that it's supposed to. It's a tight fit in the pocket. It's easier to leave the bottom half of the antenna in place rather than having to reinstall it every time you set up your net. The velcro appears to be in good condition.
The products were of excellent quality. This is a product that I would strongly recommend to any school or organization.
It broke on the first day, and I'm having trouble contacting them to send an email.
