Questions & Answers
I used a tape measure and found that the entire chain is for men's height, but if you remove the bottom silver chain (to the bottom orange clasp), you get a women's height of 7' 4 1/8".
6'6, 7'0, 7'4 1/8 (women's), 7'11 5/8 (men's) are the pre-set measurements.
The markers are supposed to teeter on the edge of the table or just brush against the floor. It is not to be relied upon. br>I hope this information was useful.

When I was younger, I used to play competitive volleyball and had one of these to measure net height. Now that I play pickleball, I'm looking for a similar tool to use when putting up portable nets to measure the height of the net. I couldn't find anything similar for Pickleball, so I ordered one of these and cut it to the right height for the center of a pickleball net, then added a 2 inch extension (via the orange link) to handle the sidelines' height. Pickleball, tennis, or any other net sport would benefit from this technique.
When people constantly switch between women's and men's heights, the heights of the nets can be variable indoors. They're frequently labeled M and W, but they don't appear to correspond to the proper height. Fair-trade products are used in the chain. weight in the middle It gets a little more tangled than I prefer, but I think it's a good trade-off. I got a bonus for being able to store it in my volleyball bag.
For the league I manage, I bought about ten of these. All of the chains were discovered to be of varying lengths recently. Some of the measurements are off by as much as two inches! When I bought them, I made the mistake of assuming they were all the same and marked at the official correct height. For my league, I only used men's height, but when I measured the net setter myself, I noticed differences in where the junior and women's marks were placed.
Some people prefer the stick, while others prefer the chain. It's easier to pack the chain, but it's more difficult to untangle it - both are extremely important.
All I needed it for was the men's height, which I double-checked with a measuring tape and found to be accurate.
The height of our indoor volleyball net is easily measured with this device. It has multiple markings to ensure that you can measure for different league-specific height requirements.
I had to use a long tape measure to double-check it. The frustrating part was that the orange links' measurements were inconsistent, so some had to be measured with the link hanging straight and others with the link horizontal with the floor. Adding to the complication: More (different) measurements are listed in the instructions than the chain actually denotes.
This product has been extremely helpful to me as a volleyball coach this season! It has a variety of net measurements and does not tangle in my bag.
