We went with the 27' version, which is a few feet smaller than the regulation size to fit in our backyard, and I think it's well-made and will last us for many years. We don't keep it up all year, but we do leave it up for weeks at a time. br>I gave it four stars because I would have preferred it to come with dowels on each side and a cable for the top instead of the rope. It's simple to put together, and once the top support rope is connected and taught, you can move the net back and forth to get it centered, then secure it with the side ties (top and bottom). br>br>I designed my installation to be easily removed (poles). net)br>I dug a 24-inch-deep hole and used concrete to hold two 24-inch-long sleeves (made from chain-link fence posts) flush with the grade and level. I then used two 10' poles (galvanized from the electrical department) that fit perfectly into the sleeves, resulting in an 8' tall set of posts. At the Regulation Men's Height (top), I drilled out and installed eye hooks. bottom), as well as both for the women's standard height. I added a lower set to allow us to play badminton with this net. To keep debris out, I covered the sleeves with the chain link fence post cap when the posts weren't in them. The lawnmower glides right over the top, avoiding any contact with the capped sleeves.
Our poles are 30 feet apart, and this was exactly what we needed. Even in the wacky weather of west Texas, this thing works great.
We were able to repair it after it tore in the wind during the winter. The money spent was well spent.
