The height of the net is three feet. It is up to the post that the net is attached to in order for it to reach the final height of 7 or 8 feet.
They have ropes that can be tied to a stationary object, but I don't recall if they also have ends that slide over a post because that is the only way I have mounted it.

Selected User Reviews For Macgregor Recreational Volleyball Net, 25-Feet
With hemp rope on top and nylon ties at the top and bottom, it appears to be of good quality and strength. It looks and functions beautifully; no, it's not Macgregor, but who cares when it's well made for $25? 😀.
I'm not sure why the description keeps saying it's the Macgregor brand after so many reviews, but many buyers have already pointed out that this net isn't the Macgregor brand. That's a ruse. A one-point deduction has been made. br>In terms of quality, it is satisfactory. After reading some reviews, I couldn't believe it, but there is a hemp rope running through the top strip of the net. Although the rope is strong, it is also quite unsightly. Deduction of a pne point. I'm going to replace it with steel wires, which are only $7 for 30 feet. The 3"x3" net hole is made of strong and attractive nylon twines, with one white top strip, two black side strips, and one black bottom strip. This improves the overall appearance of the internet. Given the cost, you might consider it worthwhile for beginners.
This is, in my opinion, a true competition level net, despite the fact that it is not necessarily regulation size. I upgraded the main cable to a steel line for stability, as suggested by some previous reviewers, but this net is everything I needed and more.
I ordered a MacGregor volleyball net that was 25 feet long but only 3 feet wide. That's what I got, as you can see in the photo. Furthermore, the net is exactly 21" wide, not 3' wide. I'm afraid that once I unpack it, I'll find out that it's not the promised 25'. The netting appears to be of good quality, but this is not what I ordered! Using a MacGregor photograph and selling it under the MacGregor name constitutes false advertising. This is a net made by GoldMedal Athletic Products.
This was purchased for my daughter in order for her to be able to practice at home in addition to organized practice and simply to have fun with her friends and family. Although not as thick as a regulation/tournament net, it is more than adequate for recreational use. The net's secure mounting is more important than the net itself. Each end was screwed together between two three-foot strips of 1"x1" wood slats. Then I tied the net's ends to two trees in the yard, which gave it a nice, even tension. Exceptionally safe. It really works.
It's been 6 months since I bought it and it's still holding up.
For the money, this is a good recreational net. I'd rather have a net with a thicker edging.
