This was supposed to be advertised as a replacement net. Most people would assume that if it didn't come with a ball, it came with at least two cheap little poles if it said "net only. " I'm not sure where I'll be able to get some volleyball net poles at the last minute. I'm disgusted to the point of rage. This was for a party, and the poles are shown in the photo. Perhaps replacement net is mentioned in the fine print, but I didn't notice it. I bought the net and then a ball separately, but since we don't have any poles, I can either send it back or throw it in the closet with the rest of the Amazon stuff that isn't worth the 45-minute drive each way in traffic into downtown Atlanta to return it without shipping costs. Professional poles are only available for $700 to $800 on Amazon. Null and void.
During the 2020 pandemic quarantine, my kids became interested in volleyball, but there were no nearby courts. We thought that was the case. We discovered two poles in a nearby playground and realized we'd been living near a volleyball court for years! Unlike nets that appeared to be made for indoor court equipment, this one appeared to be suitable for our needs. That's correct! We purchased carabiner clips and velcro straps in order to quickly assemble it and achieve the desired tension. So far, everything has gone smoothly, though I'm hoping that our rigging doesn't put too much strain on the net and cause it to break. We also received court markers - br>br> corner stakes - This allows us to have a "court in a duffle," making it simple to walk to the park and set up for an enjoyable afternoon.
The internet worked exactly as it should have. The top steel cable was a little thinner than expected, but it fit perfectly between the poles on my court; a full-sized net that fit perfectly between the poles on my court; It was, however, plenty long, and I was able to use cable stays (which were not included and cost $3). To make loops on both ends and attach the cable to the turnbuckles, purchase a $5 cable from your local hardware store. The net is now snug across the top, and the top and bottom side ties neatly trim the net. This is an excellent purchase.
It's about 10 feet longer than the other net I bought to replace one that ripped. Fortunately, it still fits in our yard, but it may not fit in everyone's.
Adjustment is difficult due to the lack of a loop on the vinyl cable. Worst of all, the vinyl cable could be seen through the net, making it impossible to adjust the length of the net. Made in China. 👎🏻.
Very long lasting!.
After a month, even the metal cable had become extremely frayed and had snapped.
This net did a fantastic job. It's strong and simple to tie and untie:.
