We have 3 cheerleaders who are flyers in our family. Due to the increased cost of the real thing and not wanting to shell out $250 for it, I got this for them to practice their body positions. There's nothing but foam in this item and it is smaller than I imagined. When they stand on it, the foam is hard and does not squish in. This is not a very heavy object, and I am concerned that it may fall. It comes with the hook side of Velcro on the bottom so you could attach it to a tumbling mat for stability, but I don't have one. We did not experience any scratches on our wood floor due to the hook Velcro. Although it seems to be stable, I would not say it is worth $60. I would say $30 would be more appropriate. To keep it from sliding around, I may get some rubber pads to put on the bottom. Considering the size and the cost, this wouldn't be a great choice. Tape some phone books together (if you can find any) and save yourself a bundle of.
It is the same one that is used at my daughter's cheer gym. Since I was a coach as well, I feel more comfortable with my daughter practicing on this than the typical stunt stand. She uses it every day, and she The practice of her skills gives her a good understanding of the proper alignment for her body while performing. The stunt group has been practicing on this stunt stand for a couple of weeks and she says the group has finally been able to hit levels 2 and 3.
I thought the tumble track would be the same width as my daughter's track, so I thought I'd be the one responsible for her liking it. According to what I've read, the Velcro is on there so that it can attack to the end of the tumble track, but it doesn't. As a surface to stand on, it's quite small, and it moves around if it's To adhere it to the tumble track, we used alien tape. In spite of that, it is very sturdy and very firm. It's too small for my girls to practice tumbling (back tucks), but they put their faces on it for handstands and walkovers, and they practice flyer cheer poses on it. Although not as good as I expected, it was not a bad purchase for the money.
The high school cheerleader, who has used this stand for years, loves it. She practices her routines constantly on it as well as uses it for a wide variety of leg and cardio exercises.
The product is as advertised. I am happy with the results with this product for my 8-year-old daughter. When I wire it to the door she is able to stretch while watching TV for hours. I was satisfied with the delivery time. In comparison to some of the other models, the price was also reasonable.
As a mother to a budding contortionist, this product is absolutely perfect for her It's not a beam or hand balancers, but it's a great place to start off. She isn't too far off the ground, so even if she falls, it won't be too bad. It is easy to store and transport as well. This is a great size. I highly recommend it.
I bought it for my gymnast to use on the beam as a jump rope. I love how it works.
Cheerleading is a frequent use of this for our daughter! The quality is high and the durability is outstanding!.
