If you have a question about your catcher, you should ask your doctor. Having said that, my daughter (now 13 years old) is a catcher who has been using these for three years to improve and maintain her throwing arm strength. We DO NOT USE them beyond 50% power so that her elbow and shoulder joints are not stressed. We go through a series of "every day" throwing motion progression drills that take us all the way to the full throw. Each progression consists of 10 to 15 reps, with the full throw consisting of 50 reps at approx. The distance is 20 feet. That's about 100 reps in total. To correct muscle overthrow, repeat the progression using a regular ball. You can also do a set right before a game to "cheat" the throw by 5 or so mph, but it will only work for 10 to 15 throws before returning to normal.
First and foremost, seek medical advice before using this product; I have yet to find a Champro workout plan. Skilz is a word that you can look up on the internet. com, because they make a similar product and use a lot of training videos in their marketing. You can also find a lot of information on weighted throwing on YouTube. This product should be used as part of your daily throwing warm-up. When doing your "everydays" drills, make use of these. If necessary, you can also perform a search on that. After you've completed the daily tasks, you'll be about 40 feet away from your partner. That's about the maximum distance I'd recommend for shoulder protection. Depending on which version of the drill you use, your arm will have completed 40 to 75 reps. After that, pick up your regular softball and repeat the drill. This will retrain your muscle memory, preventing you from overthrowing everything later.
No, not in a safe manner. Total Control balls are a great option if you're looking for a weighted ball to hit. Softball is best with the baseball-sized ones. Only the most powerful older players are allowed to play in the really big ones.

For the entire 12u spring season, my daughter has used these as part of her training. These are good for building strength, but if your daughter doesn't throw strikes to begin with, they will throw her release point all over the place. It'd be even better if they could be hittable. The stripes will be visible for a period of two years. seam, which isn't the best starting pitch but could be useful for wrist strengthening or half-time work. warm movement Also excellent for strengthening standard field throwing, and possibly even better.
This is a fantastic solution. Tossing these before throwing with a regular ball is a great way to warm up the muscles without straining yourself to hurry with a lighter weight ball if you're an adult who doesn't always have time to get a full proper warm up before a softball game. Now I don't have to prepare by throwing a football - Those are a lot more difficult to stuff into a softball backpack. I could almost throw with two weights higher if I didn't need the lower weights.
These appear to be exactly what they claim to be. Because these are primarily aimed at pitchers, the seams could be improved. Pitchers prefer raised seams. These are a little too flat. The covers, as far as I can tell, are leather and haven't come apart despite a fair number of balls hitting the ground or the fence. The weight difference for at least the 9 oz one is slight enough that you don't get much of a workout throwing it, but it's significant enough that old men throwing to their daughters might feel it later in their shoulder or elbow. I have no knowledge of the included instructions (don throw 60%), which seems a little pointless. After using the 9 oz green ball, my daughter said, "All right, let's try the 12 oz ball. " So far, there have been no arm injuries, and she may have gained some speed, but I'm relying on my eyes for now, and I could be overly optimistic. If I want to know the answer to that, I'll need to get a functioning radar.
These were purchased for my 13-year-old daughter. 14-year-old position players in order to improve their throwing arm strength. These are one of their favorite ways to warm up. The 9oz one, on the other hand, is rarely used because it is so close in weight to a real softball.
You will increase your daughter's strength if you use it properly; just start out slow and easy. "DO NOT THROW THESE BALLS AS HARD AS YOU CAN" or you will injure yourself. Use caution and only under the supervision of a trainer or coach.
These are being used to help fastpitch players gain strength during the offseason. The ball's surface leather is extremely slick; hopefully, it will break in and improve. The seams are raised but very sharp, and several customers have reported that they hurt their finger tips. The grip is disappointing, but the weights are appropriate for students of various levels.
Softballs for all ages that are great for training. Play catch for 15 minutes every day to strengthen your arms. They are extremely effective, and I believe there is no better way to increase arm strength.
You'd think that something as simple as a weighted ball would be beneficial - but you'd be wrong. However, I have noticed that I am much stronger and can throw the softball much further than before. When you're 65 and playing with the younger players, this is critical - You're over 50, right?.
