These softball-sized balls were purchased for our dog to play with, and she absolutely adores them. They're described as plastic softballs that should be used with a plastic bat.
Yes, they are the correct size for your "Scoop" (modified track ball scoop) (Whirlyball), but I am not sure about the weight. Many of these balls are far too light, in my opinion. These are something I'm not sure about.
At a carnival, I never threw any balls. However, I am aware that these are similar to wiffle balls. You can hit them with a bat, throw them, or roll them. It would most likely be appropriate for a carnival game!

CHAMPION SPORTS PLASTIC SOFTBALL SETbr>br>Our grandkids visit us frequently, and we enjoy spending time in our backyard, where they enjoy playing catch or hitting balls with this goofy over-sized plastic bat we've had for years. These CHAMPION SPORTS SOFTBALL sets are ideal for small children. They're available in six vibrant colors: br>br> Yellow, orange, red, green, blue, and purple are some of the colors that can be found in nature. They're big and sturdy, but light enough for the kids to throw and [occasionally! ] catch. They've devised a game in which some colors are negative and others are positive. If you're struck by the BAD color, BAM - you lose. They enjoy swinging as well - One swings, while the other gently tosses the balls at them in an attempt to hit them. With them, we simply play catch. It's all for the kids. br>br>We also have a two-year-old dog who enjoys playing with balls. Our Diego got one of the balls caught in his paws. His teeth, which resemble those of a vampire, are chained together. They sliced right through that ball with their saws. He didn't sabotage it; on the contrary, he made it better. It's still playable for the kids, but not while Diego is away. I was hoping that these would serve as a 'dog ball' for him, but they did not. Having said that, I did see some reviewers who bought these balls specifically for their pets and had no issues with them chewing/destroying them. br>br>Anyway, our grandkids adore these balls, and they're getting a great workout so far! Perhaps I'll buy another pack for here, as well as another for their home. br>br>It's highly suggested.
Excellent value for money and excellent quality. I was so taken with them that I purchased three of them! I was looking for some indoor balls to throw at my two-year-old daughter. Son, 5 years old, enjoys swinging his plastic bat. The heavy rubber/foam that comes with most sets is a little too small, making contact difficult, and when a hit is made, the ball travels a little further than I would like (i. e. upstairs, over the fence, and so on). The Champion softball set is now available for purchase. Because each ball has holes, it increases air drag and thus reduces the distance traveled even after solid contact, and it is the perfect size (softball size) to give my son more chances of making solid contact (he loves the sound of his plastic bat cracking after a good hit!). Avoid those that are the size of a "golf ball," as they are far too small. If a child can hit it, I believe it will bring him or her more joy and encourage perseverance. br>br>The colors are extremely bright, which makes it easy to find after batting practice; however, I am not sure how UV-resistant they are because I have not left them outside for an extended period of time. I can, however, make a statement about the long-term viability of the product. When I stepped on one by accident, it collapsed. I was afraid I wouldn't be able to console my son with ice cream if I had to tell him one of his favorite toys had been crushed by my large right foot. To my surprise, I was able to easily pop it back into shape with no cracks or the dreaded white plastic creased line! Excellent plastic! If that's what you're thinking, they don't have any odor to them. This is a great collection. I saw this at a toy/hobby store for $3 per ball. Of course, if you want to pick your own colors, that's fantastic. So, at under $8 for a set of six, this is a great deal. Did I say I purchased 18 or three sets? Perfect for pitching to my son for an extended period of time before collecting the balls. It's because of this softball set that my son will play in the Major Leagues or be a MLB homerun champion in 20 years!.
br>Using only two of the six balls at a time, my (mini schnauzer) dog finds them under a table, paws and kicks them ten feet or more, and chases them around the house at breakneck speed, creating his own soccer game. I occasionally insert one end of a 5' green garden plant pole into one of the ball holes and fling the balls down the hall or across the room for him to chase. The balls have also performed admirably outside. (Regardless of whether the item is designated for a pet or not, always keep an eye on your pet when using it and pay attention to the wear and tear. ).
Our Frenchie was adamant about not getting into her small pool. To pique her interest, I ordered a package of these balls to throw in the pool. It had the desired effect. She enters, grabs a ball, tosses it into her 'pile,' and then dives into the pool. They're built to last. They're softball-sized, making them ideal for young children learning to use a bat.
Purchase them. Or don't. I can't tell you how to spend your money because I'm not in a position to do so.
According to some reviews, these were purchased as dog toys. While dogs enjoy them and they are more sanitary than tennis balls, they are easily chewed up and must be discarded after a few weeks. Because dogs can bite off pieces, posing a choking or ingestion hazard, consider them disposable after a few weeks if you buy them for a dog.
These were purchased for my four-year-old daughter to pitch. They strike a good balance between being tough enough to fly but not so tough that they hurt people who are hit by them. Along with a jumbo bat, this is a great way for younger kids to gain confidence.
They're strong enough that tearing the ball apart takes him a few days. For added fun, I thread wire or rope through the holes and attach other balls or toys to the ball. I'll certainly continue to purchase them!.
