The protection of the nose when it is broken

At baseball practice, my son took a line drive to the nose that resulted in a lot of blood. The reason I ordered this was so that he did not miss any field time. With that in place, I was able to relax a bit, knowing that the freshly set nose would be protected. My son is 12 (almost 13) years old, so I ordered the medium. One of the largest complaints was that he got too.

I bought this after I had rhinoplasty to protect my nose from my hyper puppy who gets a little out of control and goes for my nasal area. The shirt served its purpose, but I did not enjoy wearing it very long, and getting it on without bumping my nose was awkward quite a bit.
