The fact that these have no pockets is a plus since he likes to stick his hand into The under armour compression shorts white that I ordered must be worn underneath, since they are see-through.

These shorts were purchased for both my 9 and 13 year old boys who have very different bodies types. Both boys looked and fit great in these shorts. We love it! It's our favorite pair of athletic shoes! I would prefer if they had pockets, but my older son would prefer them without. His favourite feature is the shorter length compared to the other shorts he has from UA, Nike, and Adidas.

The shorts my son wears for soccer are from this brand. A drawstring in the waist fixes the problem of a little excess in the waist. It is light in.
