Our 15-year-old daughter suffers from severe cerebral palsy and frequently self-harms. Banging her head (we keep her on a thick mat) and punching herself in the face, ears, and head are examples of these. We didn't want to put her in a hard helmet, so we came up with this solution, which has proven to be quite effective so far. There will be no more damage to her ears or head, and she will have less access to her face. It's less noticeable than a hard helmet, and it's also more comfortable for her to wear. The helmet is too tight and only comes in one size, which makes it uncomfortable

We tried it out for two games, assuming that the manufacturer knew what they were doing by only offering one size and that it would fit after a few wears, but it did not. It's a tad too tight. Headaches and pain are common side effects of this medication. We attempted to return but were unable to do so. I can see why you were given such a short time to return.

I bought this one because the price was good and it looked like the more expensive models, but the chin strap was way too short

If the chin strap was a little longer, that would be fine. To close the chin strap, you must pull it so tight that it becomes uncomfortable and nearly impairs your breathing. I don't know if it's because I don't have the right head shape, but I can't use it right now unless I keep it untethered.

The Velcro strap isn't staying put

I can't even get through a full game without the Velcro strap on this cap coming apart, and as a result, I have a pretty nice cut on my forehead. Get a better quality cap.
