For approximately two weeks, I used these balls every other day. In the single digits, we used them to play ice hockey. Two of the three broke while playing tonight on slap shots (the third is lost in the snow until spring). However; They were fantastic up until they broke. They had almost no bounce and resembled pucks in terms of play. We were able to save a lot of money by purchasing street hockey goalie pads and using them without fear of killing our goalie. I'm going to buy another set in the hopes that this one will last a little longer. Overall, the savings from being able to purchase the less expensive goalie pads make it worthwhile to go through a few sets each winter.
PACK! The product description for this item on Amazon is incorrect: "Price reflect package of 6 balls per pack. " "There were only three balls when I received the product. " Greetings, Amazon! br>br> Please make the necessary changes. I had planned on having six children. br>br>The Mylec G- br>br>The Mylec G- br>br>The Mylec Force Ball is without a doubt the best no-bounce ball I've come across so far. They're constructed from a high-quality material. When you stick your finger in the plastic, it doesn't grip. handle. I've bought a few others, like the orange Franklin ball, and it really sticks to the pavement, which isn't a good thing. When you try to handle around someone, your stick loses grip and goes over the ball, so you leave the ball behind. Simply put, there's too much friction on the surface. br>br>These start out shiny, but after a game, they lose their luster and seem to work even better once the surface has been scratched up. br>br>Just a piece of advice: Take care not to step on these. If the weather is warm, they may split over time, releasing the magical no-bounce liquid. DON'T DRIVE WHILE DRINKING! br>br>Even though you only get three balls (despite the listing), if you get Saver Shipping or have a Prime account, it's still a better deal than anywhere else online.
When I placed my order, the description stated that this was a pack of six. I notice that there is no quantity listed now. It turned out to be a three-pack. The extra three were sent to me by Amazon, but it was a hassle that could have been avoided if the description had been accurate. br>br>In any case, the product receives a five-star rating. The ball behaves similarly to a puck on ice, making it ideal for stick handling and passing practice. However, I find that I can lift these balls much easier than I can pucks when shooting (and I need to work on my lift more than anything), so it's not the best for that. But, given that it's a ball, this is to be expected.
On blacktop, the blue color makes it difficult to see. It will take a few times to feel comfortable with them.
A group of us enjoys playing pick-up basketball. Every week, we play indoor hockey and have smashed our way through a crate of other hockey balls. We'll never go back to anything else after incorporating these beauties into the mix. Because of the liquid in these, the balls stay low, giving them a great hockey puck feel, and most of our welts are now below the knee. Before I ordered them, I was concerned that they would leak, but since they are so much more solid than the ones we were using before, I don't think that will be a problem. What a fantastic purchase!.
A sturdier ball appeals to me more.
Excellent product and prompt delivery.
Although I prefer to play with red hockey balls, many of my teammates dislike being hit with them. The second-best option is this. I've tried Baur, A R, Mylec, and Franklin balls, all of which are more expensive but well worth it.
