It'll do the job, but there are better options

It works, but you can find better for around the same price, if not less, as stated in the subject line. I didn't return it because I keep it in the box in case I decide to go cricket fishing at the last minute, but I did purchase another type holder that now serves as my go-to. Advantages: br>br>
- It folds up into a small package that is easy to store in your tackle box.
- It's simple to keep track of how many crickets you've got. br>br>Cons:
- A little on the pricey side; better cricket holders can be had for less than $5br>- It's difficult to reach in and grab the crickets with your hand.
- To keep crickets from crawling out, there is no ring around the bottom of the opening. The crickets start crawling out as soon as the top is opened.

Overall, an excellent product; I recently returned from a two-month camping trip during which I fished with grasshoppers as bait on a regular basis (and with great success)

This product performed admirably, but there was one flaw. I prefer to fish in forested mountain streams and brooks. Unfortunately, the material isn't as durable as it could be. Snags ripped two holes in my hoppers, allowing them to be released. I was able to patch the holes by securing them with fishing line and a small amount of duct tape. br>Perhaps the manufacturer could make the product out of a more substantial material.

The crickets managed to get away

Loaded 10 crickets inside, removed three for immediate use, and returned the next day to find the remaining seven missing. Despite the fact that the lid was secure, they managed to get away! No one was capable of releasing them, and no animal had access to them. I'll be back for more secure storage in the future.

It should be a lot bigger! It's an excellent idea

The issue is that you can't get a cricket out of it with your hand. So, if you can't get to the bait, I'm not sure how you're supposed to fish with this.

In the summer, I use them to keep leeches in my bait box

I know these are meant for crickets, but I use them for summer fishing with leeches. The traditional leech bags' velcro lids don't hold up nearly as well as the flip lids. Take a chance and try it out.

The crickets can't stay in the container because the mesh isn't strong enough

Because the material was mesh, the crickets ate several holes. Although the design is excellent, it is not long lasting. I'd like a refund badly.
