Hello, and thank you for visiting our Amazon store to look at a product we sell. Most retainers we've seen are about the same size as an adult mouth guard, so they should fit perfectly in this case. If you have any additional concerns, please contact us. Once again, I appreciate your help. br>Larry, LNC Sports, LNC Sports, LNC Sports, LNC Sports, LNC Sports, LNC Sports, LNC Sports
Hello, the case's lid will be able to close completely with the mouth-piece. The guard isn't completely enclosed in the case. To close the case, you'd have to remove it from the helmet. If you have any additional questions, please contact us.

It will, without a doubt. There is a small opening at the front of the container, about the size of a dime, which you can't see in the photo.
I wear smaller mouthguards, but the new design appears to be larger than the older ones. I recommend that you go to a sporting goods store and take a look around. It can be purchased at Dick's Sporting Goods.

My son clipped it to the outside of his sports bag and went into the locker room to get ready for the big hockey game. When he opened the case, he discovered that his brand new, perfectly fitted mouth guard had vanished. It landed in the front of the case, through a large hole/vent. We set out to find it, assuming it had fallen out somewhere nearby. When I was walking into the rink from the parking lot, nope. A brand new $19 mouth guard has been rolled over and will never be used again. It's a real pain in the neck! It claims to work with all mouth guards, looped or not, but this isn't true; even a looped mouth guard can slip out. Our current solution is to cover the large hole with packaging tape to keep the new mouth guard from falling out.
The first time I used it, it broke. I bought it because of the top-mounted clip, which prevented my son from misplacing it. He attached it to his lacrosse bag with a clip. There was a large hole in the bottom of his bag when he picked it up to return home after the game - It had cracked, and a large chunk of it had shattered. The gap was large enough for the mouth guard to fall out easily. Bummer. Otherwise, given the type of use I'd anticipate - it would have been fantastic. affixed to sports bags and equipment - It doesn't appear to be up to the task.
Please note the following disclaimer: I'm new to all of this sports-related stuff. My kids play lacrosse and needed mouth guards, so it's not just a parent thing. At first, I was keeping them in ziploc bags just to keep them safe from all the sports equipment that gets thrown into the bag. Shame on me. I figured I'd better find something more suitable for storing items they'd be putting in their mouths on a regular basis, so I looked for something like this. I'm a sucker for items that come in a variety of colors, and these do. I like it because the kids can choose their own color and I can keep track of who has which color. Because they're hard cases, I'm not concerned about them being stomped on or being damaged by lacrosse equipment in the bag. They have a piece that you can use to attach them to your bag if you want to, and they have a solid "close" so the mouth guard won't fall out. They're not completely sealed, which I'm sure is to let it air out and not get all nasty with hot, moist bacteria, but just an FYI to all the other newbie sport parents out there, keep this in a separate section of the bag from the cleats because dirt can get in. Overall, I'm pleased with both of the items I purchased.
Shock Doctor is a huge hit with my family and I! They're a fantastic company with excellent customer service and a strong commitment to their products. I've bought a few of these over the years and would recommend them to anyone. They're made of plastic, but they're extremely durable. My kids' football, lacrosse, and jiu-jitsu teams have all used them. Over the years, jiu-jitsu mouthguards have become more popular. They have a good reputation. They're well ventilated and simple to open, but not so simple that they'll open themselves. Only one has broken out of the many we've purchased.
The colors are vibrant and easy to read. We kept it in the kitchen so my daughter wouldn't lose her retainers by putting them on the counter. Then, as a result of the hook - She stuck it to her purse one day and now she won't lose them if she ever leaves the house - to a friend's house or a school lunch - She also won't have to worry about forgetting her case. Now I'm in desperate need of another for the kitchen - However, purchasing a few of these saves you money over purchasing new retainers!.
Given that I wear a SISU mouthguard, this case is a little too big.
My retainer has slipped out of this a couple of times now. If you've chosen clear retainers or braces. Please exercise caution. The hole on the front of it is quite large, allowing them to move around inside. The end of your retainer goes through the hole, and it can then be easily removed. They should make it a little smaller or add some sort of screen. br>br>Other than that, it's exactly as described. You can hold a few retainers in your hand, and it appears to be well-made.
This was purchased for my son, who wears a mouth guard while playing basketball to protect his braces. The best part about this case is that he can attach it to his water bottle and know exactly where his mouth guard is at all times! Very easy to maintain as well as a long-lasting product! I would strongly suggest it.
