Hello Brad, I noticed the youth size on Amazon as well, despite the fact that Battle only comes in one size, as stated on the packaging: "One size - I bought seven for varsity high school players, and no one has complained about the fit. I sincerely hope that this has been of assistance to you.
Not at all, I believe. The mouthguard has a protruding piece that will be in front of your lips. Because you wear a helmet in football, this is acceptable. I'd expect that mouthguard to break, tear, or shift in your mouth if you took a punch or kick to it directly. In addition, I'm not sure if it would be legal.
It does, in fact, include a helmet strap.
My son is most likely 11 years old, and his backpack fits perfectly with a little extra room inside.

And it appears to be a formidable opponent! This was a gift for my 10-year-old son. To be used for football by my 12-year-old son. We'd gone through a lot of mouth guards by this point in his tackle football career. He'll need two things. Because we've been buying the gel-coated guards, we've been able to get three per year. To fit the guards to the teeth, they must be boiled first. He chews through the gel over time, which is one of his problems. or that the guard's attachment to the strap snaps. br>br>With this guard, all of those issues were solved, and there was no boiling. It's too tough to gnaw on. Strap and attachment to the strap are both made of high-quality materials. He also likes how this guard allows him to breathe more freely, and he appears to be tough. I guess he's as tough as a 60-pound fifth-grader can be.
My 7-year-old son needed a mouthguard, so I bought one for him. In a nutshell, here are my thoughts. If you don't want to use the face mask strap, I recommend getting this. Good: br>br>
1. ) The mouth guard is a one-size-fits-all product. My son's gag reflex is extremely sensitive, and he frequently gags when he wears a mouth guard. To fix this, I'll have to drastically reduce their size. This was a piece of cake! He put it on and liked it just the way it was right out of the box.
2. ) The mouthguard itself appears to be well-made. It's a plus that you don't have to deal with mold.
3. ) The way it looked was appealing to my son.
4. The use of a breathing hole is extremely beneficial. I've used both types of mouth guards and can attest that they make breathing a lot easier. My younger brother concurs. br>br>Contrary to popular belief, there are a number of disadvantages to using this product.
1. The strap, of course! It's a complete nightmare. My son used it for three practices before the strap broke just before the fourth practice. The strap is easy to remove from the mouth guard. My 7-year-old could easily replace it, but he had to do so on a regular basis. The strap, however, snapped at the point where it joined the face mask. After we did some quick little drills, he went to take the mouth guard out, and the mouth guard broke at the mouth guard loop, and it fell to the grass.
2. ) I sent an email to Battle customer service asking if I could buy an extra strap and received no response. I never received a response.
3. ) The mouth guard's details were listed as being for children. It's not. Battle only makes the Oxygen in one size fits most, which luckily fit my 7-year-old perfectly, but don't expect to get a different size. br>br>I ended up purchasing another Battle oxygen with a fixed strap. It appears to work much better; unfortunately, it is just a plain black one; however, the strap works much better and is much less expensive.
My 6-year-old had previously used two others and had expressed dissatisfaction with them, but with this one, he looks forward to wearing it and wears it for much longer than is necessary. It's used in lacrosse, and he claims that he can play better because he can breathe more easily, if that helps anyone. 5 STARS WITHOUT A HARD WORKING INSTRUCTIONS.
My son has been playing sports for four years and we have gone through one or two mouthguards each season. We received it on August 6th, and it's now August 24th, and we're in desperate need of a replacement. Granted, he enjoys biting down, but this one isn't very long-lasting. He is disappointed because he enjoys it but is unable to utilize it. If he bites down and swallows a large portion of it, it's also a safety issue. Attached are photos.
This item was purchased for my son, who will be joining the football team this season. He'd tried a few other mouthpieces before, but they didn't last or performed poorly. The airflow is optimal with this mouthpiece. This mouthguard has held up better than any other so far in terms of allowing his muscles to regain lost oxygen during exercise. As a result, his entire team has switched to his mouthpiece for a variety of reasons, the most important of which is that it looks cool! br>br>Anyway, this is a fantastic product that holds up well and looks fantastic!.
Last year, my son played football with one of these. We ordered another one this year because he enjoyed it so much. The one from last year is still fine, but I was grossed out by the thought of all the slobber breeding bacteria in the closet since last season because I KNOW he didn't wash it before putting it away. As a result, he now has a new one as well as a backup in case he needs it. br>His helmet had already broken and his face had been battered, but his teeth were in good shape!.
We tried several different moldable mouthpieces before coming across this style, and my 7-year-old son is very happy with the comfort and durability of it. It's very comfortable and provides adequate mouth protection without obstructing his ability to breathe normally through his mouth. He liked it at first because of the design, but now he prefers it because of how comfortable it is. He's been using it for over a month, and when I checked it this morning, there were no visible bite marks or wear. I've already ordered a second Battle mouthguard with the logo of his favorite college team. We will not return to mouthguards that can be molded.
My son requested this mouthpiece to use during football practice. It appears to be better made than previous mouthpieces, and he loves it, despite the fact that it looks like he's sucking a pacifier to me. I'm hoping it lasts a long time.
