Hi, in response to your question, I am 6 feet 3 inches tall and weigh 240 pounds. The elbow pad I bought was the larger size and it was fine, so if you are buying a medium for your son whose height and weight are listed on this page, you should be fine.

There's nothing wrong with arm guards. However, there is only one of them. It's not accurate to rely on the FAQ's. These are sold through third party vendors, so you have very few options to resolve issues. Why would anyone sell one arm guard and not be transparent in their advertising that it symbolizes one arm guard. I consider this unfair and manipulative. I made my purchase in a medium (I am 5'8"). The product works great and the size is exactly as necessary. During my 27 years playing hockey, I have accumulated a lot of experience.
