Questions & Answers

Where does the goal lie in terms of dimensions?

It is a regulation size goal at 6' x 6'. The price is great for what you get

Has there been a lax goal in the official size?

A regulation-sized goal is not on the table here. Basically, the NCAA requires that the opening be at least 6' x 6', thus the top and bottom corners must have 90 degree angles. It is clear that the corners of the picture have been rounded, which is against

What is the fold-up capability of this item?

There is no such thing. It may be disassembled fairly easily, but it can be manually folded. The point of it is not to allow you to, even though you could logically

What is it made of? Is it metal or pvc?

This metal is made from iron. It is of good I found stringing to be a bit challenging

You can probably build your own for a lot less money and much more easily than you can build your own for
5/5

After researching online I came across this backyard goal designed for my son. I was thinking of making one for him from pvc or wood, but this is a much better option. Because this goal isn't that much more expensive than a net, I decided to take a chance on it. I couldn't be more happy with our choice. Set up was quick and effortless We put together this complete book in 15 minutes with my son, 8 years old I spent 20 minutes with you. Snap-together pieces, made from about 10 pieces, allow the frame to be easily assembled. It was initially concerning that the net might not provide stability, but once it was attached I did not use rope, but rather placed zip ties every 6 inches to hold the net in place. We put a weight on the back and the goal did not lean forward. Since the goal is so light, it has a tendency to lean forward. The material stands up to shots well. During my time playing lacrosse in college, I threw some pretty hard shots that hit the net and didn't seem to alter its performance. If you plan on working in your backyard with this goal, I would highly recommend buying it. There is no doubt in my mind that it is.

I consider this to be one of the top goals in 2017
5/5

This backyard goal is a great purchase if you're looking for a quality goal that won't break the bank. It has been here for about a week, but the only thing I see is that the string on the net needs tightening, as we recently broke ours. The goal is actually relatively light weight, compared to those made of steel, while having a sturdy, solid build. In case you need to store it for the winter or anything else, you could easily disassemble it. Several of the new parents in our lacrosse community have asked us about it. According to the top 10 season goals for this year, this was one of them. It's the perfect size for practicing in your backyard.
I see a few negative comments and bad reviews, and all I can say is ignore them. There are many people who complain about the threading of the internet. There is nothing more to say than that it's tedious. It took a 12 year old and me about 20 minutes to set up the entire thing (netted and all). As a backup measure, you can place a sandbag or a paver stone on the back corner of the table because it might fall forward if you run the table over uneven ground or if it blows in the wind.

A practice goal with a frame that is this flimsy would be too difficult to use
3/5

Getting blown about is actually what causes it to go However, despite the fact I haven't measured it yet, even the net appears to be inadequate. I was supposed to replace the practice goal with this one all the way through because the netting is double the thickness. Nonetheless, I would have requested a refund if I hadn't thrown out the packaging. You can compare You can compare You can compare The quality is very poor.

Having a good netting for the backyard is a great idea
4/5

You can use the yard for this purpose. Among the Pros A lacrosse goal takes very little time to assemble and disassemble, especially if you understand what the design is supposed to look like. This aluminium frame has held up to two seasons plus a Wisconsin winter (stored outside). Strong enough for shooting and goalie practice. A light enough mower to move around the farm for mowing, etc.

Cons I really did not think the included net was sized correctly. Stretching the object into place is going to take a lot of effort. As the paint fades in its second year, it falls off. The issue is minor when you come right down to it, but it will be noted nonetheless. In reality, I wouldn't recommend it for team or game use, but that wasn't intended to be the case to begin with.

This is a really good goal, and it is also affordable

Lastly, we replaced our folding goal with a permanent one. I just wasn't happy with the way it was weathering after 3 years. It was a little time consuming to string this goal, but it was well worth it, as the net behaves like a collegiate In spite of being lightweight and easily transportable, it seems to be very durable. I am proud that my son averages 75 mph when he shoots from 20 feet The casing has been used for three weeks and is seemingly holding up to the amount of pressure the corners and the pipes are taking. With 100s of shots already logged, there are no tears or signs of wear. I am very pleased with it.

There is no strength in the net
3/5

There are some negatives to this plan In addition to this goal's net, it is also extremely thin. hole in the top right of the building was ripped out the same day as assembly. In the description, it is stated that this is a 3mm net, but the previous net we had was a Brine 3mm net, which is about twice as thick as this one. There are holes in the net in the upper right, upper middle, and upper left, now that the net has been up for about a week. Despite the fact that this goal is almost a year and a half old and that we repaired a hole previously in the top right, we will probably be reinstalling this Brine net on this one. I've been using it for just a week, but it seems paper thin and it needs to be replaced. This is the positive side. This mini goal is cheap, the metal goal appears to be good, and the assembly was easy. There have been no noticeable dents in the metal so far. The goal is to see my youngest son graduate from high school, and I hope to achieve it by then. The moment I am writing this, I still think it will work. However, time will tell how well it survives rust.

Overall, I think there's a decent chance of recommending this product if the net that came with it turned out to be durable for Nevertheless, the net was not maintained for more than.

This product is seen regularly by high school age boys, so it is in excellent condition
5/5

A simple assembly is required. Prior to purchasing I read other reviews where others reported problems with not enough rope to attach the net to the frame. It suits us well to use zip ties from the beginning. If that is the route you choose, make sure you go heavy duty with It was purchased by me in March and assembled by me. Since it was purchased 7 months ago, it has been used heavily and regularly not just by my 3 boys, but also by their neighborhood friends. There are 2 players in HS, so the net sees some hard shots from hard players. As far as I know, no issues cropped up during that time frame other than replacing zip ties that got.

Ideally, you want to invest the money in a good cause

Having this goal woven into the fabric of our lives is essential. We've had goals with Velcro on the edges in the past. While this one requires a little more work, it does the job it is supposed to!.
