You might be able to I don't, but others do. In my bag, I put them on as soon as I get my skates out. In my case, though, I remove them after I tie them when I play. I have not yet used it, so I cannot comment on its quality. Reviewers said that the Med would fit a size 6 so we bought that size. This size of skate fits up to a size 5. I thought they were too small! The size chart was not available, so the reviewer was at the mercy of their judgement. There is no need to install guards that seem good quality but don't fit, so what should we do with them?.
I lost one of my old ones, so I bought these to replace it. I like it very much, big enough for my nine. There was no problem in skating 5 without a problem. It will hold up pretty well if you decide to wear it if you walk around a lot in them. I normally don't wear them a lot, but the bottom material will also be on the inside.
In his youth hockey program, my son needed to buy a new pair of He ripped off all of his other products without hesitation. They are much heavier than his old ones and have a much better fitting than his old ones. He does not normally walk in them, but these ones are I'd definitely buy it.
As for my size, I am 11 inches tall. It barely fits these guards on a 5 skate. My recommendation would be something else if you wear a size 12 or higher. They do seem to have a lot of quality otherwise, though they don't appear to have a lot of stretch.

When my oldest plays travel hockey, he gets about a season out of a pair, but he's really hard on them as well. He skates a lot and wears his skates on a regular basis. As far as quality goes, I think this is great for the price.
I rely on these covers to protect my custom True goalie skates (size 7) from staining. The equipment should be kept safe from themselves as well as from my bag.
It's my job to deal with them.
It seems to be made from materials of high quality, so I would expect it to last for years to come. Fits perfectly on adults' recreational blades (I'm 7 inches tall).
