The fall when I broke 5 ribs severely made me decide to go look for a solution. I have broken my ribs from skating, snowboarding, riding a mountain bike, and many other stupid things so I decided to look for one. out the suit and I must say I am extremely pleased with how well it fits and forms. It seems to offer a little promise that it will reduce my chances of sustaining major injuries because it will spread out the impact force a bit The fit is perfect (I'm 5'8" and weigh 170 lbs. ), and I have noticed no decrease in movement from wearing it. In addition to keeping me warm, it also keeps my torso warm when I am riding my bike, sailing, or snowboarding at night. When the weather is hotter, I usually only turn it on when I'm downhilling and then leave it on every time I ride even if I have climbs the bike doesn't get too hot at that point. I am very pleased with this.
In early March 2021, I was diagnosed with a cracked rib with 3 weeks to go before I would ride a snowboard in Breckenridge. Being the first to arrive, I was so worried that nothing would be possible. The rib protector received some great reviews, so I decided to order one. There is something here that I, at least, felt the same way. In the closing days of the first day, as I was feeling confident, I fell a couple of times that were hard after I had already fallen once. After I cracked my rib I thought a trip I had planned to make the most of would be lost, but I was able to do it because of this protector. Here's a suggestion In order to prevent excessive pressure on your ribs, you should unhook the protector whenever you bend down to strap your bindings or tie your show. Otherwise, you'll put a lot of strain on your ribs.
In go kart racing, I use this protector as a rib cage and it does the job quite well. It is highly recommended that you purchase this item.
There is a lot of text in this item. No adjustment is available for the part that crosses over the shoulders. Although you can adjust the width, you can't adjust the length. If you pulled it down snug, it would sit around my son's hips instead of around A little over 5 feet and 123 pounds, my son weighs in at about 123 pounds. I think this will work. Initially I thought it would be too small, but instead I find it is too long. In the front of the car, there are pads that don't stay where they should. It is impossible to keep track of their movements.
For my son who is on his high school lacrosse team, I bought these socks. He can use them effectively and comfortably under his shoulder pads for added protection for his rib cage.
Since I am in poor health with osteoarthritis in my legs, I bought the bike specifically so that I would not require a trailer as I would with a quad because it would fit in the back of my truck bed with 2 dog kennels. There must have been a full moon out, because the bike hit a rock with its front wheel and crashed right over me. I suffered a fractured skull and four broken ribs and spent New Year's Eve in intensive care before I was able to run my dogs again. My Osteo is still not getting better, so I have rebuilt the bike like I did 4 years ago with a new motor and clutch, but this time with a set of training wheels to stabilize it because I am still having balance issues. My ribs should be protected by this item, and I will also be wearing a brain bucket I should have been wearing the first time to prevent me from suffering a brain injury from the lack of wearing the brain bucket. Although the XL size is about 3/4 inches too small for me, I wear 42 inch pants, and when I get the welding done on the outrigger back wheels I will update this review when I get it back from out in the desert. Hopefully luck will be with me!.
As a big man, I needed something that gave me some mobility. A typical rib guard does not let me move freely, so in that regard it is great.
