Selected User Reviews For McDavid Padded Tank Shirt (3-Pad). HEX Pads Compression Tank Top. For Basketball, Football, Lacrosse and more. Protects Ribs and Spine
This review is most likely being read because you recently suffered a broken or bruised rib and are trying to decide where you should go. Recently, I cracked rib playing basketball and wanted to make sure a healing crack would be better protected before getting back into A DIY pad proved to be the best option after I ordered four different padded shirt options. In my opinion, the best overall shirt option came from Shock Doctor, as it offered the most padding, particularly on the front section of the ribs, which the other three options did not cover (I had a crack there). Next best coverage was provided by You can see from the pictures that the Zicac shirt padding is too low down, so too much of the rib is missed. My McDavid was the sleekest and most secure of the options, but was not able to protect me where I needed. The best thing to do is to order multiple shirts and then try all of them as every body is unique, and you may have different preferences for fit and work. In the end, I decided to move on from the shirts because they were too distracting while shooting - if you plan to use the shirts for a long time, you will just have to adapt. My ribs were secured with a 4x6 inch section of Blue Camp Sleeping Pad closed cell foam, instead of using flexible Kinesiology tape. I loved the comfort it provided, and I could not tell it was there while protecting the mostly healed cracks of a Until I have fully recovered and am mentally ready to go unprotected, I will continue to do this.
I play soccer, and unfortunately I get bumped quite frequently in defense. This is a large, yet slim enough vest that it is not obvious that I am wearing it under my shirt. A few of my ribs were fractured and I found it difficult to return without regaining my strength This would result in them being injured It is a compression padded tank that gets the job done. In addition to providing me with comfortable support, it has ample padding so I can confidently To get a sense of size, the chest is 42, the waist is The size of the file is The fit is perfect, with just enough room to let your lungs expand fully This would probably fit a small, but it would fit tight and may be difficult to put on and take.
It's for my son to wear on his basketball team in high school. When the football season started, he was injured in the ribs. The injury became manageable for a while, but he took yet another shot to the ribs and found himself in a similar situation I am very pleased with this shirt. Since then, he has recovered 100% and wears the shirt every time he plays. Consequently, he has been able to reduce incidences of minor injuries while he is playing the five. I only gave this 4 stars because I believe the pads should be covered closer to the sternum, and I think that would make it a better product.
He wanted rib protection for pickup basketball at the rec center and it seemed that most of the reviews were too good to be true. I've had him wear it three times now and he says it's great. You absolutely need to use it for common rough play in the paint since it is extremely tough. Even so, he is glad he got it. He said it took him a couple hours to adjust, but he's glad he did.
I bought it as a precaution, but it has proven valuable There are 11 ribs in this barbecue. A little padding feels good in that area. In my case, the small fits perfectly around the chest and ribs of a 5'6" female weighing 130 pounds. I knew it would be long, but I still didn't expect it to be that long.
It's wonderful, I am in love with A physical sport, basketball can be hard on the body. My son may fall on his tailbone when he plays aggressively. It appears he is now protected from the elbows while rebounding, as well as undercover shots while he is on the court.
Not at all protective of the vulnerable ribs in front. It's a good idea, but missing about two inches in the front of each side.
My favorite thing about this product is that it keeps me dry when it's hot outside It is a "fit" material, and overall it is of decent Although it can be a bit tough to get off when wet or sweaty, that is to be expected with this There is an adequate amount of padding. The clothing should be washed in cold water and allowed to air dry I don't think the dryer would work in this situation.
