As a parent, I usually want to tell you that I have a good feeling about Mizuno products for my daughter's volleyball attire. We have shoes, warm-ups, etc. I have always had great quality UPS packages, bags, etc. However, these sleeves did not withstand full live practice (diving). They stayed flat even after extensive use. High School JV Jacket Sleeve has a hole in the elbow area after only one practice! After the first practice they received long sleeved nylon jacket sleeves. It has been two decades since she last wore the blended practice shirts and they are still holding up fine. She said they really helped in her passing, but that she doesn't want to wear them any longer Despite her thin build, my 14-year-old athletic daughter found the fit to be quite comfortable. Taking this into account, if you're just looking to protect yourself when passing, these will do however, if you're looking for something more durable for competitive play, I would recommend looking at either stronger sleeves or a long sleeve.
I got them to avoid getting burns on my arms and elbows from diving for balls on hard floors. In Japan, I bought a pair of Mizuno Arm Sleeves where the logo at the upper arm is the same as here (made in Japan) - they look the same as in the picture here. There is a logo on the lower arm of these pairs that are made in China (different than the ones shown in the picture shown here), and I just bought them here.
