This style of face guard was used by my daughter when she played first base, and we were very pleased with it. She was well-protected and had a lot of visibility. This parent has given this product his highest recommendation. She was a softball player from the age of 12 to 15, and she used a variety of softball sizes.
WARNING - The Schutt Titanium Mask is not to be confused with this. The weight of a genuine Schutt Titanium mask should be around 11 ounces. This mask is 14 ounces, but it only weighs 2 ounces. 3 ounces. 2 oz vs. 3 oz. is 26%, which Schutt advertises the weight difference as well. Kent Reed is a musician from the United States. My daughter does, in fact, always wear her sunglasses under her facemask.
Only fastpitch softball players should use this item. Hardball isn't something I'd recommend.

NOTE: This PRODUCT IS FIVE STARS, BUT I RECEIVED THE WRONG PRODUCT, so the supplier receives a two-star rating. a 5-star rating I immediately recognized this as not being the Titanium mask after receiving it. I received a message from an awesome softball "Bucket Parent" via my FastpitchPros Facebook page about a month after I posted a one-star review. The parent has sent me photos, which I have attached. This Titanium mask (from Amazon) was purchased by the father for his 8-year-old son. year- daughter, who is twelve years old who's learning to pitch a ball! He told me that the Schutt Titanium mask has "90 degree welded corners," as opposed to the Schutt Titanium mask's "45 degree welded corners. " carbon dioxide (CO2) "Curved metal corners" are going to be on metal masks. Furthermore, the Titanium model is 11 pounds. 2 oz. and the carbon-dioxide-dioxide-dioxide The weight of the metal mask will be 14. 3 ounces. So. the distinction between eleven and eleven 2 oz vs. 3 oz. is 26%, as stated on the Schutt Titanium Mask by the retail box on the Schutt Titanium Mask by the retail box on the Schutt Titanium Mask "Made of Solid Steel Construction," according to the metal mask's retail box. Aside from the corners and weight differences, these masks appear to be identical. So be on the lookout and "double-check your order. " IMPORTANT NOTE: Since their introduction, I've been recommending and ordering Schutt Face Guards. The mask of choice for your daughter! The titanium mask arrived in perfect condition. My daughter likes how snug it fits and how light it is in comparison to her RIP It steel facemask. I wouldn't say the weight difference is significant, but it is noticeable. I ordered a youth size for my daughter (she's 10) and it fits perfectly. I like how her other mask doesn't have a vertical bar running from nose to mouth. It was hard to get a drink because of this. She should be able to drink from her water bottle without the mask now. She adores how well the chin cup fits her and how well the forehead pad is cushioned. This is something I would strongly suggest. It was well worth the money!.
My daughter has had a Rip It face mask for a couple of years, but she didn't care for the chin cushion because it was too big. This season, one of her teammates received a Schutt. The chin cushion was noticeably smaller, according to my daughter. One was something I really wanted. The model made of titanium is extremely light. I'm not sure if it was worth the money, but we'll see once she puts it to use.
At third base, my daughter was hit in the jaw by a hard line drive. She is fine, aside from some soreness; she travels and this was a particularly hard-hit ball. I'm not sure what we would have done this morning if she hadn't been wearing it. She uses it every time she plays infield. Even after the impact, the mask seems 100% to be 100% fine.
My daughter has been pitching with the Ripit mask since she was about eighth grade (now a junior) and has been very pleased with it, but the Schutt Titanium mask takes it to a whole new level! First and foremost, we chose to try the mask due to its light weight. My daughter was initially hesitant to try the mask because the small bar that sticks down from the top in the middle irritated her vision, but the fit was so much more comfortable that she decided to give it a try. After only one practice, she claimed she had lost all awareness of the bar. With this mask, you can run, shake your head back and forth, and it will stay in place without moving out of place at all, and that is with the straps set to a comfortable position. Her old mask had a lot of straps to keep it from bouncing or moving around while she was pitching or running. The mask is also wide enough to comfortably accommodate glasses. The "Varsity" model is designed for high school students, and Schutt also offers a steel version, so be careful not to order the wrong mask or size. br>br>Now for the drawbacks. br>Adhesive Velcro is used to keep the chin guard and padding in place on almost every mask on the market. When it's 90 degrees and humid, adhesive doesn't hold up, but I've discovered that a couple zip ties can keep everything in place without sacrificing fit or comfort. Don't lose your chin guard, or the mask will be rendered useless. Some children may dislike the difference in vision when compared to the ripit mask.
On the first day she wore it, it saved me a lot of money and a trip to the hospital! She's wearing braces and took a line drive right to the chin area, which bounced off! When I asked her if she felt the ball hit her after the game, she replied, "What ball?" She doesn't take it off during the game, and several other players do as well. She wouldn't wear it if it bothered her in the Georgia heat and sun. It's something she enjoys, and it's something I enjoy as well. It's also given her more confidence when it comes to pursuing the ball. I'm so glad I bought this face guard; it's paid for itself in a variety of ways! Without a doubt!.
I got the gold, but there were some very sharp edges! So I sanded them down and painted the mask black with spray paint. It's the most comfortable mask she's ever worn, according to her 14-year-old daughter (adult size). Do not tamper with her spectacles! I tried it on and found it to be extremely comfortable and easy to see out of. Would suggest.
My pitcher daughter has been wearing a Schutt mask for years, and she loves it. However, the titanium mask was not delivered to me. The box, mask corner shape, and mask weight all confirmed that I received the steel mask. Because either Amazon or the Schutt store doesn't know what they're selling on this specific listing, it was returned.
