It fits my daughter well because she is four foot eight inches tall and weighs 85 pounds. The room isn't too big, but it will certainly allow room for her to grow. In almost clockwork fashion, the first time she wore it, our ace pitcher tossed a rise ball that hit right on the point of the elbow but didn't go anywhere. It was ate by the pad and deflected away. She barely felt anything in response.
No disrespect intended, but. . . in all honesty, I saw my son blow himself up right above the guard after putting this on. Haha so literally he thinks it will work, but he would have to be hit in the pad to know whether or not it works. He says he likes it though, because it's comfortable and doesn't interfere with the way he swings. My personal opinion is that having a little elbow armor on him makes him more comfortable in the box. While others on the team have Evo brand jerseys, they have all agreed that his fits and looks better as its flexibility is nice. A guard (like a bullet proof vest) doesn't mean a hit won't hurt, but it also means that you won't actually be injured.
