I can wear them right over my calves, but just just below my knee. During the trip, they remained up. They were comfortable and cute at the same time. I guess you could raise them if you wanted to.

The review I originally wrote has been updated. Ultimately, I gave the socks to my husband for the breast cancer walk last week and they fitted him perfectly. He is 6' tall and wears a 12 shoe, so the socks was a perfect fit for him. Because they sent me a guy's size accidentally, but when I find out that my son can use them, they are not all a waste. The quality is excellent and they fit well. Please note I'd like to share my original review The socks I ordered are enormous, given their shoe size chart, and they would do me well to buy a pair of mediums. I must have received men's size, as it is impossible for me to fit it in a 7-to-10 size This shoe fits well for a size 10. It hangs well for a size 2. The soles of my feet are 3 inches long. This is disappointing to me. Having bought them last year, I didn't wear them last weekend so I decided to try them on just now for a walk next weekend, but now I have to find another pair of socks to buy.
Although they are nice and I know they are constrictive, there was no chance we could get my 10 year old son's foot in a men's large so size up big! He placed his foot in after 10 minutes, and the socks were so long they went up his knees. Although they're definitely good for sports, they're thick socks.
I am happy with them. There were no issues with them rolling down or feeling uncomfortable. I highly recommend that you buy them because they are cute!.
Their durable construction not only looks great, but feels great as well.
There was a hole in the socks. It's a very disappointing experience.
With shorts, I wore these for a "pink" school spirit day to raise cancer awareness. They were well received by middle schoolers.
