It is best to order the size your child wears in a shirt if they will be wearing If they will wear it without pads, it is best to size up.

Putting the pads on the jersy gives the jersy a nice look. I would have worn these ams with my old college linebacker shoulder pads if they had been tight enough around the pads. These are not tight enough around the pads, so my son's arms flap when he runs. The fit around the waist of this jersey is great, so if your son is 5'8" tall and has adult size shoulder pads, this jersey would be perfect for him.

Nice work. The stretchy and enlarged arm holes make it easy to put all the pads on and take them off. This is the way football jerseys should be made, but few are made this way.
