Considering this item does not have any size information, I bought a S for my 6 year old (about 50 lbs), and the fit is really It was over his ankles and even with pads underneath it was still huge, even for a tall kid. The fact that once you got these over the pads, they were too narrow for my 10 and 8 year old to even get their arms in them made me want to really dislike them. In the end, I even cut the sides to give them a little more room, but they were still I am disappointed.
