No, the nylon is quite thick. I wouldn't hand it over to the dog to chew. It's still holding up like new after a year of being thrown around by my husband when he's pissed at the game.

This is not a penalty flag used by officials! First and foremost, the size is not 15"x15" as described; it is much smaller. Second, it's not a bright yellow; rather, it's a pastel Easter yellow; and third, it's not a bright yellow. It has the color of lemonade that has gone bad. Basically, there's a slim chance that this flag will be visible on the field, which is probably a good thing because it's such a joke that any official who dares to throw it will be ridiculed, and rightly so. I'm not sure how this product got such a high rating or why Amazon thought it was worthwhile to recommend.
I wasn't expecting the material or quality to be as good as it was. The flag's tail is much smaller than what was expected or depicted in the photo. It's entertaining to see when someone is deserving of a penalty, but I wish the flags were more realistic.
If you're a football fanatic like me, you're serious about your sport. I bought one of these flags so that when I'm with my friends watching the game, we can pick it up and toss it in the air and scream that our team was jacked by a stupid ref. Now that we can play referee in the comfort of our own homes, armchair quarterbacking is complete. It's very simple to put together because it's just a flat sheet of fabric with a packet in the middle that serves as the flag's ball at the end. All you have to do now is twist it and secure it with a rubber band. If you're going for a referee's license, this might not be a bad little guy to have around: br>br>I suppose this would work for actual football referring, as well, so if you're going for a referee's license, this might not be a bad little guy to have around:.
This is something I keep in my office in case a meeting gets out of hand.
I needed a second flag because I was in a hurry. All of the officiating websites take a long time to deliver, so I figured I'd just get one from here. NO! It's teeny-tiny and a little strange. I didn't even put it in my gearbag because of the color. It's more of a one-of-a-kind item. Officials, please don't get in the habit of calling games!.
The item does not correspond to the description. When fully stretched, it only reaches 11 inches. 5 inches. It's 15x15, he claims. As a referee's flag, it is ineffective. Only gag gifts and toys will be accepted.
It is not authentic. This was a complete waste of money for me. I imagined it to be similar to the flags that football referees use. This is a very small object. boo.
Small in size. It measures approximately 3 inches in length. I initially mistook the penalty flag for a regulation one. I'm a referee, and if I used this, I'd be laughed at.
