Questions & Answers

What is the maximum height it can reach?

The tee can be extended to 36" in length. It's possible that you'll be able to get another extension. 5", but there's a chance the batter will knock the top portion of the base out. You could always lower the tee and place it on top of a ball bucket if you needed it higher than 36".

Is it OK that the tube portion of the tee appears larger at the top than the bottom in the photo, which appears to be the opposite of what I've seen in the past?

Yes. It's wide enough to hold and stabilize the baseball, but not so big that it gets in the way of the swing. It was an excellent solution.

I'm 12, 5,2, and 150 pounds, and I practice with 40-ounce bats, so I'm a pretty powerful kid. Would this tee hold up if I used my 40-ounce bats?

Yes, but you'd be better off purchasing a batting stick and having someone hold the end while you move it around at various heights to improve your swing.

Is it possible to use a topper with this?

What's the difference between a topper and a cake topper?

As the coach of a 16U team, I require multiple tees in order to work hitting stations during practices

Replacement cups for the newer styles may be less expensive, but you're just pre-ordering. They'll be paid for out of the unit's total cost ($90). Schmitt's hard rubber tees, on the other hand, are both affordable and durable. If you hold the shaft and spin the base to loosen the screw, they break down just as easily after practice. The hardware is of high quality, and the heights can be adjusted easily without collapsing.

It is a hit with my daughter
5/5

My 6-year-old daughter, who had never swung a bat before, received this as a present. She became the best hitter on her 6-man team after three weeks of consistent hitting. The 8-year-old team, which batted third in the lineup, was named an All-Star and was the only 6-year-old on the team. br>Her fielding was HORRIBLE, but she was an A+ hitter. With a bat striking the rubber neck, this product is easy to set up and very durable. br>My 6-year-old daughter takes it to the back yard, puts the neck around her waist (all by herself), and chases it down.

Good Tee
4/5

This tee has performed admirably in its role. My son has been hitting off a tee since he was two years old, and by the time he was three, he had outgrown his Little Tikes plastic tee, so I bought him a metal bat and this tee. It's been over a year since I got it, and it's still going strong. It was incredibly simple to put together and has withstood numerous bat whacks. My only criticism is that when it is raised to adult height, the weight of a baseball causes it to tilt to one side; however, I suppose I shouldn't expect much for the price. Overall, this is a great tee for young children. When my son is a little older and into more serious play, I will probably upgrade to something better.

Tee that can be worn by adults or children
5/5

This tee was delivered to me about a week ago. After the summer, when I've had a chance to properly abuse it, I'll update this review. (Right now, I've had about 10 hours of heavy use)br>br>I'm an adult male with average bat speed. Because I'm a terrible hitter, I bought this shirt to wear in my redneck batting cage. I'm a slow pitch softball player in my late twenties. I expect my children to use it in the future. Advantages: br>br>
- Base and lower rod are made of a heavy, hard plastic. These aren't necessarily abused pieces, but they are thick and durable. br>- Upper rod is made of thick rubber. Because the rubber has some give, it will bend slightly in the direction you hit it after a few hits. But that's not a problem- The heavy rubber appears to last a long time and does not bend far enough for the balls to fall off due to the tilt. br>- The upper portion is simple to raise and lower. It's just a simple up-and-down movement. It is held in place by friction, which prevents it from sinking to the bottom.
- The heavy base ensures that the tee does not tip every time you hit it. I'll admit that I'm not great at hitting, but I do hit the tee on a regular basis.
- The tee rises to about my hip level and then drops to my knee. The strike zone is ideal. To give you an idea of my height, I'm 5'10".
- It can hold anything from a tennis ball to a softball on the tee.
- Tool- fewer building materials One large bolt connects the plate to the lower plastic support; the plate has a bolt shaped cutout, so you simply split the bolt in half and screw the plastic support in by hand; this makes it super easy to disassemble and reassemble if needed. assemble. It'll be up in less than 45 seconds. Consbr>- br>br>- br>br>- br>br>- br>br>- b It's a minor nitpick, but because the upper rubber portion slides in, it will gradually rise as you strike it. The more times you hit the tee, the more it warms up. As a result, when you hit it, it will eventually flop out. It's not a big deal; simply re-insert it.
- If you break the top section, you should be able to purchase a replacement. That is something I am unable to confirm- From what I can tell, it's not available on Amazon or at Schutt's. However, the tee appears to be so long-lasting that if you need a replacement in 5 years, they may not have the same models available. EDIT: MONTH 1 EDIT: MONTH 1 EDIT: MONTH 1 EDIT: MONTH 1 EDIT: MONTH 2 EDIT After a month of heavy use by myself and other adult players, the tee is still in excellent condition. The upper rod has taken a beating, but you can't tell because you can't see it. This purchase continues to make me happy. EDIT: br>br> 3/7/14 - Last summer, I wore the tee for the entire summer and it still looks brand new. I'll resume using it now that the weather has warmed up. However, it only received three votes. Last year, I used it for four months straight, but a few others did as well. Hundreds, if not thousands, of aluminum bat hits were required. This tee is extremely durable, and I have no regrets about buying it.

It appeals to us greatly. My children used it almost every day, but it has developed a crack after three weeks.

It appears to be sturdy and long-lasting
4/5

This appears to be a well-made tee with a convenient height adjustment feature. For a four-year period, it was purchased. year- I'm not sure if it'll withstand more abuse from a bigger child because it's so old, but it'll suffice for our needs.

Continue your search! My child is four years old

In the three days we've been practicing, he's knocked the tee down a few times. The standing post has started to sag. I try to twist the post so it doesn't fall in the same direction every time, but it still bends. br>Try a different approach.

It's a hit with the kids
4/5

It's very simple to put together, but the piece that holds the ball slides down quite easily on its own. It also gets leaner over time. That's to be expected, I suppose.
